Makena Marie Haydon Strips Naked In Stranger’s Home, Police Say — Reason Not What You’d Expect

Makena Marie Haydon is a 20-year-old Arizona college student who became a viral sensation literally overnight this week when she was arrested after she stripped naked in the home of a total stranger, while jumping up and down on a bed shouting, “Am I pretty?”

A report of the young woman’s bizarre behavior, based on a police account, appeared on August 28 in the Arizona Daily Sun newspaper, under the headline, “Naked woman terrorizes strangers in Flagstaff.”

Needless to say, it didn’t take long for Haydon’s name and picture to spread far and wide on the internet, with some commenters expressing disbelief — not so much at Haydon’s alleged strange actions, but at the reaction of her “victim.”

“Instead of saying ‘Hell yeah,’ the man called police,” wrote the site Mandatory. “When they arrived at his apartment, they found Makena Marie Haydon naked as a jaybird on the second-floor exterior balcony ‘yelling incoherently.'”

That’s basically what happened, but the Sun report went into a bit more detail — including the probable factor that caused the Northern Arizona University sorority sister to strip naked in a stranger’s home.

As they arrested her, after she put her clothing back on, Haydon reportedly told police, with great enthusiasm, “I love marijuana!”

When they recovered her clothing, police reportedly recovered two bags of the controlled substance from her pockets.

Here, by the way, is another picture of the accused young woman, albeit with clothes on.

Haydon is also accused of assaulting a police officer because when one of the cops climbed a flight of stairs to place Haydon under arrest, she pulled at least her undergarments back on and leaped directly at the officer.

After police placed her in their cruiser, she somehow escaped her handcuffs and caused damage to the interior of the police car.

Public nudity by women has made news with some frequency this year.

So far, in 2015, the Inquisitr has reported on a woman who attempted to rob a convenience store while naked in West Virginia; a woman who was arrested after stripping naked in a Florida doughnut shop reportedly on a dare; a woman in Orlando, Florida, who ran naked into traffic, publicly engaged in a solo sex act and jumped onto the hood of car causing $1,500 worth of damage; and a Venezuelan TV sportscaster who stripped naked live on the air while reporting a story about heartthrob soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Makena Marie Haydon was charged with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, criminal damage, trespassing, misdemeanor marijuana possession, resisting arrest and aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer in relation to her episode of stripping naked somewhere she shouldn’t have.

Since you love lawyers, here are some reasons that the "victim" was absolutely correct in calling 5-0:

1) If the girl was intoxicated, she couldn't "consent" to the photography.  A video voyeurism charge comes with some nasty baggage.

2) Had she passed out, she could misremember the events that landed her in that particular apartment and cried foul.  A rape charge, regardless of outcome, comes with some nasty baggage.

Bottom line: intoxicated strangers exhibiting bizarre behavior are best avoided altogether, but if they invade your space you should call in a third party and begin the CYA phase of the plan.

If you weren't a proponent of legalizing maryjane across the board before, you should be now. Make it so.

So if a popo was wearing a body cam, then it is OK. But its not OK in my own damn house? There is no consent needed  when you enter my home uninvited. If a video was taken, then all of what you said could be disproven by watching the video.

At least let me have a little of the peril.

Yes.  If you really need the "why" spelled out, then we need to crank up a remedial civics class.

Maybe...maybe not.  You can't say that as an absolute, however.

Again: maybe...maybe not.  Do you unequivocally believe any film clip you see?  Do you question context, editing, etc?

It's too perilous!

I'm think that more begins with an X and ends in sex.
