Title: Nine (9) Players Have Left Auburn Since January

2 early for the NFL Draft:
Sammie Coates - WR
Patrick Miller - OL (good luck with that)

7 for various and sundry reasons:
Matthew Shiel - Punter (punted a few times and then...)
Anthony Swain - Linebacker (Knees? focus on education)
Jimmy Hutchinson - Punter (wasn't he supposed to be the shiz?)
Khari Harding - Linebacker (transfer to Tulsa to be close to family member with cancer)
Mackenro Alexander - Defensive Back (back to fishing?)
Kalvaraz Bessent - Defensive Back (filling in for Heisenberg?)
Dominic Walker - Wide Receiver (who?)

Yet AL.Com plays it like:

Three of those are non-arguments.

The others are normal defections that arise as guys realize the prospects of their future.

And then there's the HAMMER. It's coming....

The title for the article doesn't even make sense, when they are specifically just talking about a punter leaving.

However, solution for your problem, quit reading al.com.

We all know it is fucking crooked as shit, I don't know why folks are continually surprised by their headlines.

We won't need a punter this year.

We have no use for a red zone...or a punter.
Now that we have Boom it's gonna be like make 'em take 'em.

At least at newspapers, for those who remember those, the headline could often be written by someone other than the person who wrote the story.

I read al.com but I take it with a grain of salt, realizing that the angles they have historically taken is pro-Bama. It's a bidness decision for them. But, yeah, the headline sux. Not unusual for them.

Because some people like to torment themselves. The only time I go on there is for local HS stuff, but even then, I can't stand it because their site sucks and that isn't even because it is crooked. It just plain sucks.

Gotta get my news from somewhere. I can't help it if they are all Bammer shills over there.

Best one by a long shot on the dot  I am a gay twerker that has no balls!!!!  I also have no idea how to use the quote function to post stories, so I annoy the piss out of others.  I like male genatalia in and around my mouth. from al is Joel Erickson.  He does a great job of reporting on Auburn football and for the most part, leaves opinion out of it.  He just gives you the meat and potatoes of what's going on with the program and individual players.  Meat and potatoes, I tell ya'.

On another note, can some of you recruiting gurus tell me how processing these 9 guys affects our ability to sign players in the next class?  You can have 85 scholarship players on the roster.  Can we over sign to replace these guys?  My understanding was that they put a limit on signing classes (25?) several years ago but you always see numerous teams signing well over that number.

IIRC, the 25 limit was imposed by the SEC, not NCAA. And 85 limit is NCAA requirement. Can't sign and place anymore.

Here is another part I'm not clear on. If a guy doesn't qualify and he goes to JUCO, he counts against our 25? That's my understanding. Even though he can change his mind and go elsewhere.

Correct me if I'm wrong, which as you all know, I'm usually not.

As long as we roll 3 deep in scholarship long snappers we're golden.

I used to date a white chick with a long snapper. Smelled like mullet.

Mullet is a very under- appreciated fish @ around 2.25 a pound.
