Title: An observation from Nashville
Post by: Kaos on January 01, 2015, 07:03:55 PM
Went to the Music City Bowl.  With no stake in the game found it very easy and enjoyable to watch.  Discovered it was easy to cheer for LSU. So I did. At the same time I wasn't so invested that I couldn't appreciate the play of some of the Notre Damers.  I liked that Kelley was willing to build for 2015 and let next years QB start -- and play most of the game.  The kid is pretty good. Better than Golston.

As I sat there and listened to the people around me run their mouth it dawned on me that 95% of any particular fanbase is a fan of the colors. They don't know shit about football. The Notre dame guy behind me babbled non-stop and was wrong about almost EVRYTHING he said. Trying to point out the safety to his girlfriend and was showing her a linebacker. Just clueless. I bet he didn't know the name of six players on the entire roster. He just cheered his dumb ass off.  He's the majority.

Maybe we are doing it wrong.
