Cowpokes win in Overtime, 38-35

And how about those store bought refs in Atlanta tonight? I'm getting like THS with that bunch. Just fucking sick of it.

Ho, please. Probably the only really questionable call was the fumble. They called forward progress, and he was being pushed back before the ball came loose. It was borderline though, and I wouldn't have had a problem with it going the other way.
Targeting call was dead on. If that isn't targeting as defined by the rule, I don't know what is.

Unfortunately, I did catch a few minutes of it when I went to BurgerFi to get a burger. That restaurant sucks by the way. $4 for a plain kids hot dog.
Anyway, I saw Derrick Henry run for a touchdown to go up 35-13. Thanks to a seminar paper that's due tomorrow at 5pm, I've been busy all day. I'm much, much happier for it. Just seeing him run down the field and score and hearing Verne and Gary's typical sploogefest over Alabama started boiling my blood.
Seems like yesterday I was annoyed Alabama fans bragging about their bullshit "Got 12?" claims. Now they're about to get 16. Come get me when the NCAA grows some balls.

Bammer friend of mine says he felt sorry for the guy that got tossed. Hands made contact first, then an inadvertant blow under the chin of Sims who went down. I haven't seen the replays though.

It's fucking amazing how much more you post when Alabama may actually win something...

Whisky getting murdered 31-0.

Forced Sex just took their first lead of the night.

If you look back, I usually only post when it's Alabama related lately. I'm not even gloating. Simply saying the refs didn't just hand Bama the game as was suggested.

And tOSU is playing their third string QB.

Funny. Your db laid a lick much worse this year. Last I checked hands pushing off isn't targeting.

Yeah, and he got ejected for it too.

The game was meant to be entertainingly violent.

Agreeance

Agreeance
I second that.
He never lead or targeted him with the helmet you dumbass. He never lowered it. He pushed with his fucking hands.
I guess you are gonna defend the 2 non reviews as well? Let me guess - his feet were inbounds and the caveman had forward progress eh? Although if anyone else does that it's ruled a fumble - like ga tech last week.

I don't disagree with your point. Murray said that the defender's helmet didn't touch his, but I'm pretty sure that it did. It wouldn't have been roughing the passer since a defender was already returning the intercepted ball, but would have been targeting I think.

And wasn't called. Same way their holds aren't called. Same way their fumbles are miraculously "forward progress" even though effort is still there and no whistle has blown. Same way they magically get no questionable play reviewed. Every benefit of every doubt. If someone doesn't see this they are blind.

Should have been targeting.
You cannot lead with the crown of your helmet especially against a defenseless player. Murray was trying to play tough guy. It's obvious the helmet is being used as a bludgeoning tool and makes contact with Murray's facemask.
But you know, just par for the course with Alabama getting the bulk of the calls.

And apparently if you don't play D for bama, leading with the hands and pushing off is the same as leading with the helmet.

Shot an 86 and had a few beers at the 19th hole. Did not watch one second of the foosball yesterday.

I don't care if he led with his dick. He hit Sims above the shoulders with the crown of his helmet. Maybe if it wasn't so late of a hit it might have gone unnoticed, but it was targeting regardless. Even Pinkel said his coaches in the booth told him during the review that they saw it, and it was going to be upheld.

You guys play winter rules or no?
-
The thing that upsets me is that if you strictly enforce the rule "defenseless player", then targeting should have been called regularly against all opposing teams that AU faced during the last half of the season. :rimshot:  :fu:

I like the old testament " eye for an eye" bit in sport. Very tidy system.
