Watched the Oregon-Arizona route last night. Marcus Mariota had a game the experts are saying "sealed his Heisman victory."
His biggest "wow" plays were no better than what Nick Marshall does. He had a decent scramble and launch play that Tim Brando splooged over, but I thought there were three better highlights of Marshall doing the scramble and launch in the Iron Bowl alone.
Still though, pretty impressive to throw the ball 372 times in a year and only have 2 interceptions.

I'm OK with him getting it this year. Mainly because it keeps the inbred fucks from pushing Cooper into it.

Oregon looked pretty impressive last night. Arizona was their only loss this season (NO GOT-DAMN REMATCHES!!), so it wouldn't surprise me if Oregon rose to #1 if Bama doesn't shit-stomp Mizzou. Even if Bama wins but not convincingly, you could still make the case for Oregon to go to #1 after last night IMO.

The only receiver I would consider if I had a vote are those that return punts and or kicks.

I wonder if the committee will keep Bama 1 and Oregon 2, just for travel reasons, though.

That's a good point. It would certainly make more sense.

(NO GOT-DAMN REMATCHES!!),
Just when I think you can't say anything dumber, you go and do something like this...AND TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!
No one said...NO GOT-DAMN REMATCHES...
I said that a team who didn't win their conference division or conference title should not be able to play in a rematch for the national championship against someone in their own god damn conference division. How is that so god damn hard for you to fucking understand???????

THIS...all of it.
Oregon avenged their loss BEFORE the playoff thus proving they were the better team by a long shot, actually WINNING THEIR CONF and solidifying their spot in the playoff. Bama got their rematch IN the title game against someone in their own damn division without winning the Conf CG.
HUGE DIFFERENCE goat rapist.

It's funny how all of this talk right now about how BCU and Taylor being co-conference champions hurts their resume while in 2011 not one peep out of the fact that Alabama didn't even win a share of their division.

I haven't any Oregon games this year. Friday's was the first I watched, and I really wasn't all that impressed with Mariota. Agree with you 100%.

Is that because you were used to seeing someone do pretty much the same thing every week or was it truly a "wow" factor thing?
The reason I ask is I have watched them play 3 times this year and I am in the same place as you and THS, but then I think back about it, what he is does is damn impressive. Then again, I am used to seeing Nick be damn impressive almost every week.

I dunno as much as they talk about him, I was expecting more.
Sounds like his stats are pretty impressive, I don't give a fuck all to look at them.

Nick who? Marshall. LOL. If Nick had Mariota's touch on the ball, he'd be first in line for the trophy this year and we would be most likely undefeated. Mariota is pretty smooth.
