Had to be out early this morning. Stopped by McDonalds for a sausage McMuffin at 5:30 a.m. No other cars in line, really not that many even on the road.
Place the order, pay and wait...wait...wait...wait. Four or five minutes at the window. Chick finally brings the bag, I drive away and dive into the carb and fat loaded goodness.
Except it wasn't good. The muffin part was hard and stale. It was barely warm.
How it is possible to serve old warmed over food to one of the first customers of the day, particularly when you hold them waiting at the window for longer than normal?
From now on I'm going to Chick Fil A. Never bad food, never bad service, never bad attitude. And the girl at the window is usually cute.

Cause they are fucking McDonalds. Shit is always like that anytime I go there. You have to go exactly at noon to get anything "fresh".

Gotta' say I can't recall the last time I didn't skeet skeet a little while working over a sausage egg and cheese McFluffin and hash brown. I've had good luck with those. The hit or miss for me with Micky D's are the fries. If you get a fresh, just salted box, that's as good as fries get. If they sit for more than 5 minutes, they're as bad as fries can be.

No matter how good or bad the service may be.... or how cheap or good the food may be at times - McD's and Wal Mart will ALWAYS be bottom of the basement, appealing to the lowest common denominator and attracting that kind of employee AND customer most of the time.
This is why I go to Chick Fil A or Target. Its worth it. More often than not, you get what you pay for.

I avoid Wal Marks at all costs. Refuse to go. Well, the local ones anyway. There's a People of Wal Mart site for a reason. Now, down at the beach right outside Destin, there's a Wal Marks that's okay. It's tourists for the most part so the crowd looks somewhat normal.
Now Micky D's. I don't do a ton of eating there because like K said, it's mainly carb loaded and fat goodness. But they food be mighty tasty.

White people problems.
I don't do McD's often, but every once in a great while that mcmuffin is the only thing that will scratch that deep caveman itch. I've tried making them at home and even bought the dual McMuffin maker, but it doesn't have that same boiled in lard, dirty cheese panache.

Oh, I like them. But I just don't get shocked if I do go to WM or McDs (on the rare occasion) and the shit is awful. It shouldn't be that way but it is. Call it what you want. But I don't think its hard to ask that when you go to a place for service and food, and you pay for it - that it be right.
Some companies care more about it than others. Not a white people problem at all. Its just human decency really. A white people problem is not getting the desired color of iPhone you wanted and crying about it. Or your BMW not having voice command GPS.

My BMW has voice command GPS? I need to read the manual.
I go where I get good service normally. But sometimes you got to slum. I will find myself at Church's Fred Chicken about once a year for the same reason.

Bullshirt. I go to both all of the time. If you live in a decent area, both are well worth the visit.
Just don't go on Sunday. That is mexican day...

Good God, what the fuck is that thing?
It's a double McMuffin maker. Works pretty well actually.
English muffin on the bottom with sausage (precooked frozen or refrig patty) and cheese. Or peppers or whatever you want. Little slide tray thing protects the egg you drop on top of it. Lay the top of the muffin on the egg (suggest breaking the yolk) and set the timer for 5 mins.
Spin the slide thing out and it all falls together.
You get a warm McMuffinish concoction that isn't really that bad. But not McD's.

There is one Wal-Mart in a very affluent area in far north Dallas (where gwb lives). The really, really rich kids have other kids play for them. Mrs. Dallas and I were in the store one time, we were not looked upon favorably.

Buzz has looked upon your wife favorably.

You are such a liar, we all know fries would go straight to your ass.

And contiunes to text me about current photos. :tits:

I live in a decent area and you do as well. But the closest Wal Marts to me are Opelika and Phenix City. Neither good. Auburn on College St is ok. Its just that those are the exception not the norm.
Ive never had a bad exp at Chick Fil A though as opposed to McDs. The people in there eating and most of all, the people that work there actually seem to give a shit. What a concept.
True statement about Sundays though. Ive noticed.
K - I did hit up Church's about a month ago one Saturday. I never go there but did the once. Why? Because I so a big ass billboard advertizing that they were selling Chicken and Waffle Bites Boxes. Hell yes. And it was awesome.

I get the cravings. CFA, Popeye's, and Krystal's for me. I find myself eating at one of them once every couple of months, but.......It's fast food, people! It's all shit. Just some are less shitty than others.
-
Since my diabeetus hit and I'm down 45 lbs and can't seem to put on any weight. I have to hit Krystal up for a couple of bag fulls every few months(and a tea bag if it's the special that day). Go home double up on the 4 meds I take and boost insulin shot by at least 15 units. It's glorious! I make better mcmuffins than mcdees.

That is why I only go to a place like that once every couple of months. I feel like hell for the rest of the day. Blood sugar decides it is going to go up to about 400-500 after a meal from one of those places. How was your last A1C check?
-
I do only hit Mickey's on a rare occasion and usually for breakfast. Not because of diabetes but more the 800 fat grams per bite. But, in college, I used live off two things. There was a time there (After a year of CDC pizzas....goot gawt) that I'd alternate every night between a quarter pounder with cheese, large fries and a coke....and Wendy's double with cheese (Mayo, ketchup and mustard) large fries and a coke.
When you're a 20 year old college kid lifting weights and playing every sport under the sun and throwing the Frisbee, running the stairs at Beard Eaves and chasing pus....I mean the dog.....you don't really think about the fat content. But then, when I was 20, nobody knew to worry about it.

Eating or dating in my case.

Last 1 in June was 7.9. Down from over 13 in February. Cut out ALL alcohol through June and started run/walking 3 to 5 miles every other day. That did it. Then mothers health went severely down hill(she past in Sept.) and Lutz's death same day. Needless to say fine burbunz were back, and still are, in picture. Lots of it. I was mind fucked. Have another test next week. Looking over bg since then and probably back to at least 10. Back to drawing board.

Damn, get off that fine bourbon. Although I am a good one to talk. I cleaned a lot of my diet up and got mine back down to 5.5 (from 11.3) until he cut my meds back by 500mg/day. I introduced bourbon back into my diet as a food group, instead of a treat and it shot back up to 7.8. Pretty sure it's going to be the same if not worse this next time. I am losing weight, not from effort though. Doc said it's a side effect of having diabetes. It can cause weight loss if your A1C's are too high. I am in the process of getting my diet clean and slacking off the bourbon. Get to re-introduce myself to the elliptical machine next week to see if I can't get this shit under control. I feel your pain (although on a smaller scale), but I am back to the drawing board myself.

Don't forget about the Quaker Oats.

I went to McD's the other morning and the biscuit I got was suckarage but I didn't care. I expected as much. Kind of like watching Auburn play defense. I know it won't be good but can it be passable? I got what I paid for.

Am I the only one here whose hired servants prepare breakfast. I was not aware that I cavorted with so many poors.
I'm ashamed to say I know you.

Not if you have had it at Johnny 's Po ' Boys in Nawlins. Pure crack.

You have to ask for it in the restroom.
