I wouldn't have liked an ejection. Seems extreme for the scenario. It's not like he shoved the ref out of anger. He shoved the ref out of stupidity.
Should have been a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct call. It's infuriating the ref didn't call it.

Winston may be one of the dumbest fucking people that I have ever seen. It says a lot about how good of an athlete that he is to be that fucking stupid but that successful on the football field. It really does amaze me.

Yeah but anger or not, you shouldn't push the ref out of the way and FSU's excuse of well he was in the heat of the moment he didn't know what he was doing makes it even more infuriating.
Here's the thing if a ref was holding back a player (because a fight was taking place) and that player pushed the ref to move him out of the way to get involved in the fight, I don't get the difference. He wasnt pushing the ref out of the way in anger he was pushing the ref to move him. Either way he still pushed and tried to move the official.

He should've been ejected. It's an easy to understand rule and he broke it. It's not as subjective as targeting but I think that most people would agree, he tried to move the ref out of the way. Can't put your hands on the ref like that.
At the same time, I think that most of you only have a problem with Winston because he's black and has probably had more white girls than all of you combined. They like Alabama black snake.

I'm gonna' go against the grain a bit and say the more I look at it, the more harmless it looks. I totally get that technically, it should have been flagged. And I agree with that. But, it's not the pummeling of a ref that some takes I've heard have made it out to be. Hate Cap'n Crablegs but this was a lot of meh to me.
Now having said that, I vote it's time for ESPN to bar Danny Kanell from ever commenting on anything FSU again. His homerism and blatant poo-pooing of anything that goes wrong with that program borders on Lou Penithsh's infatuation with all things Notre Dame.

At one point, he literally looked at the ref like he thought the ref was trying to defend the play. He is an incredibly dumb motherfucker.
