Title: Gustav
Post by: Rancid Milk on August 26, 2008, 10:05:08 PM
I know, I know...it's a long ways off, but it certainly looks like somebody along the U.S. coastline is going to get this one and it looks like it's going to get fairly strong.

If it happened to follow the center of the current cone (highly unlikely, mind you, but I did say "if"), well, the irony of it hitting New Orleans during the Republican convention would be heavy.

Better fill up those gas tanks. The price is about to jump $.40 a gallon!

That is the path that I told my mother, Gustav was going to take, when I heard where it was located.  This was back on Monday as we were flying back from Seattle.  I told my mother that it was going to hit somewhere between Panama City and the western part of Louisiana.  Damn I'm good.  I said that because when Gustav was a Tropical Depression it went through the Hebert Box #2.

Fugg'em...  New Orleans is ready for another good douching.

If GWB would just figure out how to use that evil weather machine of his, he could stall the storm ove Cuba and wipe out their gubmet.

No!  Not New Orleans - all the backwash runs straight to Houston... and we are still dealing with that nasty mess from last time.

I wonder if W is gonna take the machine with him when he leaves, or is it government property?

Please not New Orleans.  I make about 1/3rd of my income in Southern Louisiana.

So be we...  Crime in my area used to be non-existent, but ever since those poor Katrina refugees moved into the Atlanta area, crime has skyrocketed.  Few people are willing to talk about it for obvious reasons.

It's gubmet propitee.  Well, the Democrats would never be able to figure it out.  You have to know how to read and have greater than a 4th grade education to get through the manual.

I wonder if Nagan is getting Chocolate City's buses warmed up this time?

Fuck Nagen.  It sounds like Bobby Jendal has got his shit together.  Hospitals in Baton Rouge are going to 12 hours on/12 hours off beginning Friday.  He's put into action plans to have buses ready go, and has begun asking residents of New Orleans if they need help evacuating.  Jendal says they have plans in place to evac up to 30,000 residents by Sunday, if need be, with at least 7000 already signed up.

That all sounds well enough, but you know those "residents" aren't going to make it to the bus on time.  And once again, it'll be everybody else's fault but their own.  It's a conspiracy.

It definitely looks like the central LA coast is going to get cornholed by this one...Katrina caught the eastern part, Rita got the western part and this one will likely split the difference.  The LSU campus is definitely in harm's way.

Looks like a future rainmaker for us here in SE Texas, though.

So, It's looking like Gustav will receive the 6th Grill and the Pimp Cup before it lands to the West of New Orleans.....Which is the worst part of a Hurricane, aside from a Direct Hit.

No, the evil weather machine belongs to Cheney/Halliburton/Big Oil and from what I heard they built two at twice the price...
