I really thought that these two would've choked on each others penis by now.
Here's what I'm saying. The old "if you're going to lose, it's best to lose early" will still apply in the playoff era. It's still going to be a popularity contest to get in. I wish we would be facing an undefeated Bama but as it stands, they may realistically have 2 or more losses. I don't think that's as good of a scenario for us and it definitely puts them in the spoiler category, if we have 1 or more losses going into the Iron Bowl.
Regardless, we win this weekend and we are in really good shape. It's the most dangerous team we face.

Agree. IMO this is the best team/ biggest threat I have seen top to bottom out of the state of Mississippi. Both teams have had moderate success here and there but always lacked in some way even when they managed to beat us. That said, I think we win and I'm hoping they inflict some damage on the other divisional teams we have yet to play.

Just my two pennies: ole miss has a better resume than state right now.
Boise > UAB
Alabama > LSU
Vanderbilt < A&M
Memphis > southern miss
Raging Cajuns > South Alabama
Not really close.
Our wins over Arkansas and Kansas State eclipse anything on the bull pups schedule.

Our guys looked like the were hungover for three quarters of the game.
