Title: Mich. St/Oregon, ND/Mich., USC/Stanford and others
Post by: The Six on September 06, 2014, 10:32:56 AM
Who ya' got?

I like Sparty. Oregon gets slowed down like swimming in syrup against physical teams. No reason to think otherwise until proven otherwise. Mich. St. 20, Oregon 16.

The mediots have tried to sell us on how storied the ND/Mich rivalry is and what a shame it is they are done after this year. Meh. ND is faster and better coached than the Maze & Blue even without all the dudes not playing for academic issues. Irish 30, Michigan 17.

SC runs a bunch a plays on a nobody and people act like it's the second coming of offense. Not so fast. Stanford still plays solid defense and that QB isn't a dummy either. I'll take the Trees over Hollywood, 24, 14.

Lots of other games too.

My only reason for liking Oregon is that Mariota has yet to impress me against a quality team and that Sparty has to travel. Today he finally comes through mostly on runs.
I do like Connor Cook about as much as fmr. Gamecock, Connor Shaw but I don't think they win this one.

Stanford is my choice if for nothing more than better depth which aids their defense. Meh... Stanford by 3 or 4.

Notre Dame should beat Michigan in South Bend and this could turn out to be the game of the day or just a real snoozer.
Pick 'em.

Honestly don't have a gut feeling on the point spread and if I were playing I would likely play a couple of totals instead.

I've already turned the Alabama game off.  I couldn't see the screen anyway for all the splooge the announcers sprayed over it.   Cooper is the best receiver in all of college football (bullshit).  Kenya Drake is pure electricity, blah blah fucking blah.  I can't listen to any more of this ridiculous gushing shit.

I'm flipping around, but just caught the last TD.  Kansas State does not look good at all on D.

K State was up 13-0. Iowa State just rattled off 28 unanswered points. K State isn't overly impressive looking today.

When he eliminates that lazy-assed set-up and long wind-up and decides to just rip it I think he will eventually be the guy,

Right now I'm curious as to why Kiffin (and Saban) allowed him to throw the ball so much with the game well in hand. They have several more warm-up games ahead.

We may hang 75 on them in front of America on a Thursday night.

Kind of like the rest of the X - feeling better about that trip to Manhattan.

And just as I type that, KState gets an INT.

Iowa St 28 - KState 20 with 9:15 left in the 4th.

AAAAAND they score.

TD KState. Their first points of the second half.

Two point conversion DENIED. QB tried to run it in and got POPPED.

28-26 Iowa St

I don't know how our D will do, but our offense should shred KState

And in other news:  Nebraska is tied at 24 with McNeese State with 4 minutes left in the 4th.

Pellini is DONE.

KState just scored with 1:30 left. Up by 4. Another failed two point attempt.

KState pulls it out. Hopefully they won't recover in time for is to roll into town...

Yeah, I think they are pulling away now. UAB does look good though. I will add too that UAB is gonna be tough to beat by anybody in the CUSA.

Trees and Trojans locked in a low-scoring tilt so far. SC just tied it up on a FG. 10-10 heading to the 4th.

Jesus, BERT. 63-0 less than a minute into the 2nd half.

May be a better win than Clemson after all.

Will be Arkansas's first win in 356 days.

It is being said Coates will not play against San Jose/Diego State. Suffered minor knee injury against the Hogs and will not play tonight.

Yeah, when Braxton Millhouse went down, I think it became Sparty's to lose.

Chuckle to the Millhouse.
Wisconsin is a tough ol' team from the other side of the Big Ten only they lack a QB threat like Cook.

Forget who among us likes the Arizona teams of the Pac wtf south. They could make some noise.

I like the 'Zone schools. They do enough on offense to be the monkey in the wrench on any weekend.

So Ohio state was going to win it all this season. They have one of the best teams in the nation.

Except their QB gets hurt and now they just aren't as big. Or as strong. Or as fast.

But. But. I thought the great Urban and OSU were back!

Freaking ESPN are pathetic just begging toa slob Urbans knob!
