Tennesse is #2, so...

And if you follow Herbstreit's logic, Auburn had their chance in 2011 against Utah State and barely escaped. Tennessee punished them, so it's obvious they should be ranked much higher.

Makes sense to me.

Okay nobody panic. This is just our esteemed panel of thirteen disguising its first poll of the season. Carry. on!

Public perception.
And when you cannot even get the SEC network to talk positive about you, how can you expect people to see you in a good light.

Need about 3 or 4 more ex-Bammer QBs and maybe a couple of ex-Thuga linemen to round out the broadcast crew.

That would suck

Just saw during lunch on SEC network where computer ranking increased thuga chance of winning the SEC from 11% to 30 something after the win over Clemson. Has Bama at 18%, AU 15% and AM 9 I believe. Anywho, talking head whom I've never heard of, bet the field against Thuga but of course only mentions how he likes Bama and AM's chances. I hope we can continue to be underestimated. And we really are underestimated, regardless of being mentioned a lot.
I can't remember another year that after the first game of the season, thinking that we have a really good shot at winning it all. There have been years that I thought we could win it all, but never one that I have had this much confidence in how much of a shot.

I agree. IMO, people are looking a little too deep into that UGA Clemson game (Clemson will be lucky to be #3 in the ACC).

I'ma sit back and enjoy the season without expectations. Our schedule is murderer's row. I think we have the talent and coaching to run it...but our schedule is murderer's row. I'm just loving where we're at with a team that can beat anyone in the nation and it wouldn't be a surprise to anybody.

I won't be surprised if it ends up looking like Arky is better than Clemson.
We gotsta improve our D, I know. But we have as good of a shot at winning the SEC as anyone else. I would put us, thuga and A&M pretty even right now. The main thing that makes us even as far as chances to win the SEC go, imo, is we have a tougher schedule.

I can dig it. That is basically where I am. I could care less what some crackerjack on TV says. What I see is a team is exactly what you said; one that can beat anyone at anytime. To boot, I think about what Auburn has endured with its football program in recent history and realize how far this team has come. It is great to be an Auburn Tiger!

I can understand why someone who doesn't know as much about football as I do would feel this way.

Be quite an achievement with this schedule to simply outscore all.

So you are saying our schedule is what...murderer's row?

I know that you are joking because I'm sure that you don't believe that one week of success (i.e. luck) in your battle for the crown doesn't prove football knowledge in any way. You know this right? Over the course of time, my talk of scheme and strategy has proven what I know. I don't have anything to prove around here. You know this right?

I have a system that's infallible. It involves long stints on the shitter reading Lindy's and Athlon from cover to cover. I'm the Phil Steele of BFTC.
