I was gonna post the same thing. I told my wife that I don't ever remember him playing this hard. If he stays healthy, they are gonna be tough to beat. Wilson just continues to get better. And to think, we almost had him for one season. I wonder how much of a difference it would have made.

Wilson is the what any college head coach could want, strong leader, good accurate arm and a gutty runner. He just so happens to be just right for Seattle's style of play.

My choice from this past class of QBs would have been Derrick Carr. Unfortunately he gets (drafted by Oakland) thrown in the fire on the road against the Jets.

Agreed. But it would've been interesting to see. I think I read somewhere that it really came down to Wisky's O line impressing him so much. He made the right decision.

And it would've only put a temporary hold on the inevitable with the Chiz, since he had lost control of the team. It worked out for the better for all concerned but we just had to endure the most painful season in our lives.

Things I learned from Week One of the NFL.

1) I really don't give much of a shit about the NFL.  Only watched parts of a few games.  Don't even know who won most of them.  Don't care enough to find out.

2) Mark Ingram is the biggest punk ass bitch in the league.  He hasn't done shit for two years, has a mediocre game and struts, preens, stalks and prances like he's a combination of Walter Payton and Barry Sanders.  If he were on my team I'd beat his ass like they beat Private Pyle in Full Metal Jacket.  They could flag that chubby Ewok for douchmanlike conduct after every three-yard gain.  I've rarely hated a player as much as I despise that bubbling turd.

New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram had a fiery, helmet-slamming outburst on the sideline Sunday, and later appeared to decline a post-touchdown handshake from coach Sean Payton.

3) Further proof that the Saints are cheaters?  Guess who joined their coverage team for NOLA this season?  Evan Woodbery.

4) Hate to say this, but the Panthers might be better of with the other guy playing QB.  Mike Shula has no idea what to do with Cam.  He knows what to do with a moderately talented, slow white guy because he can relate to him.  As much as I want to like the Panthers, I hope Cam finds a better home after this season.  He could be a major star, one of the best in NFL history but he's not going to get that or get there with defense-minded Rivera and doodlebutt Shula.  They shouldn't have released Steve Smith, either.

5) Broncos suck.  Won but suck.

6) Slow your roll on the Dolphins.

7) The Ravens are punks.  NFL did what they did to Ray Rice.  I'm sorry there is a video now, but releasing the guy today was a punk move.  It's double jeopardy.

8) Seahawks and 49ers both look like quality teams.  Beyond that, it's a miasma of mediocrity across the rest of the league.  Of course the 'Hawks get there by cheating their asses off.  Carroll was a cheater at USC and is a cheater (and a twat) in Seattle.

9) RGIII is going to be a long-term bust.  He's not going to be all the media wants him to be but they will go to the ends of the earth to prop him up as such.

10) Hope Whore Webb-McCarron saved some of that Hardees money.

Gots to agree, first it isn't double jeopardy because this isn't a court of law.  Second, dude is a trained, muscle building athlete who straight up knocked out a woman.  He also happened to lie about it to both the Ravens and the NFL.

I'm assuming he doesn't realize that the Ravens and the NFL did not know the severity of the incident.

In case people don't know, the story that Ray Rice and his Stockholm'd Fiance told was that she was drunk and attacking him and provoked him to defend himself by shoving her.  Because of her drunken state, she passed out and he dragged her out of the elevator.

Video told a different story.

No, I think they knew all this and didn't expect it to come out.

They did what they did to him.  Realize it's not a court of law, but still.  Admitted to domestic violence.  Was punished for it.  Man up, say you should have investigated more thoroughly, but don't jam the guy a second time after what's already done.

I know knocking somebody out isn't equitable to stealing candy but this is like "oh, you robbed a candy store so you're getting six months probation and a $50 fine..." and then three months later you go "Wait, what?  You stole ALL the M&M's?  That's it, bitch.  Prison."

Shula absolutely sucks. Trying to make him something he's not. Getting him banged around in the process.

Offensive line is terrible.

No consistent backs. Few options at receiver.

He looks absolutely miserable.  And that makes me sad.

We had a nice draft this year, but the reviews are mixed at best on those who came out.

Robinson hasn't played much for St. Louis and hasn't contributed much when he has played. He was expected to take a starting role for the Rams and just hasn't made that move.

I've seen talk that Tre Mason simply wasn't ready for the NFL and came out a year too early.  He didn't have a good preseason. The Rams made him inactive this week and put an undrafted rookie RB out there instead.

Chris Davis made the San Diego roster as an undrafted free agent, but so far as I can tell he hasn't played.

Dee Ford is playing behind a couple of veterans and not getting very many snaps for the Chiefs.  His highest output is something like 13 snaps and he doesn't have any stats for the season.

Cody Parkey is 8-9 on field goals and 14-14 on PATs.  Game-winning 36 yarder against the Colts, 51-yarder to put the game out of reach against the Redskins (I like typing that word).  Three weeks in he was the NFL's leading scorer. First Eagles kicker to make two 50-yarders in a season since 2008.  And nearly 70% of his kickoffs are touchbacks.  FWIW, Parkey was an undrafted free agent with the Colts and traded to Philly two weeks prior to the start of the season. He's rocking it.

Jay Prosch has played in all four games for the Texans.  Caught his first pass of the season, a 24 yard gain, today.  Has no rushing yards.  He sent a former Bama player packing when he made the roster, so that was a huge plus.  Seems to have a positive upside for Houston.

Meanwhile Neiko Thorpe, who was a freshman at Auburn in 1942 and left the Tigers when he missed the bus in Manhattan Kansas a week ago, is on an NFL roster.  Well, sort of NFL.  He made the Raiders roster again. He's yet to look back for a ball.

Cam is in a bad place.

Shula absolutely sucks. Trying to make him something he's not. Getting him banged around in the process.

Offensive line is terrible.

No consistent backs. Few options at receiver.

He looks absolutely miserable.  And that makes me sad.

It's more so the GM who gave big hefty contracts to two running backs - that aren't all that impressive to begin with - instead of opening up the bank for receivers and linemen.  It's been about a decade since the NFL became officially centered on the play of the quarterback.  I don't know why Carolina's GM hasn't realized that yet.

I thought he snuck back onto the team and just got suspended at AU under the name Jermaine Whitehead.

Steve Smith made them look dumb yesterday for letting him go. Which was a big mistake.

He was the only weapon Cam had. I also feel bad for Cam. He's in a very bad situation.

Doesn't look promising though.  Oakland, St. Louis, Jacksonville, New York (Jets), Tampa Bay, and Tennessee could use quarterbacks.  Would be a shit show no matter where he ends up.

NY and Oakland = where players go to be irrelevant.

The others at least have potential. Esp St L. and TB. They have good coaches.

The Kansas City/N.E. game was a snoozer. K.C. took control of dat a$$ from the start.  I was flipping back and forth and came back to it with under 6:00 to go.  41-14 and K.C. has the ball....and the starting QB is still in.  Not saying they were trying to run up the score. But that has long since been the norm for NFL teams.  I don't care if you're up 52-3 with 1:00 to go.  Manning will still be the one to kneel on it at the end.  The starting QB rarely leaves the game in the NFL. Don't know if they ever did take Smith out but he had no business in the game at that point.  Way too much can happen.

Did Brady seriously get benched? I did not watch but read that. He has become a liability to NE. Who would have thought it?

I didn't see that.  I was just flipping back and forth.  Now having said that about leaving the starting QB in, I guess I see it mainly when the team is up big.  But if a team is the recipient of getting hammered, they usually sit the guy.

He threw 2 picks and had a fumble.  The fumble was a blindside lick.  They were getting their ass beat before the first pick he threw, but he certainly did them no favors.

And it didn't help any with the Patriots D being basically non-existent.

Did Dee Ford get any significant playing time?

When they are not in the news as a team with drama in the lockerroom and tripping over their own dicks, they can be pretty decent historically.

They suck.  Why would ANYBODY like the Cowboys?  They were like the Alabama of the NFL for a long time.  Big bandwagon loaded with people who had no affiliation to the city or the team.  I hate the fucking Cowboys and hope they lose every game.

Tre Mason had a good game.  Mostly.  That's what matters.  He had 85 yards and looked a lot like he used to yesterday.  The fumble on the game-clinching first down really, really sucked but he was pretty good the rest of the game.

Only one back had gone over 60 yards against the Seahawks all season until Tre broke off 85, his first touchdown of his career and a 20-yard gain for the second week in a row.

Other than Saban himself, the greatest douche of any consequence that the Bammer's pay close attention to is Color Analyst and head of the Senior Bowl, Phil Savage.

He is a former Brown's assistant under Saban, former Director of Player Personnel for the Ravens and was once the Sr. VP and General Manager of the Browns.

IMO, every other opinion from Phyllis of Mulga to Jay Barker to Cecil Hurt to Legend to Joe Namath to mascot Big Al is just tail wagging Bammer's being fans.

This guy has been in places to be in the know and has their respect by virtue of working with the Midget Himself...plus around draft time he generally takes cheap shots at Auburn players while overrating his favorites which only adds to his overall douchiness and lofty opinion they have of him and he of himself.
