Auburn-Clemson series set for 2016 & '17. Between 2007-17, Auburn will have played Clemson 6 times and Florida twice. OK then.

I'm actually genuinely pissed about this...

Auburn needs to be in the East and ship Mizzou to the West. This would solve the Florida and Tennessee problems. Also, can we please add out of conference opponents outside of the ACC (and not named Kansas State)? Would it kill JJ and the PTB to play a home and home with Oregon State or Washington or maybe even crazy old Rich Rod at Arizona? I've given up on my dreams of a home and home with Notre Dame.

Oh and  :fu: Dabo and Clemson

I'd rather play The Mean Machine.
I'd rather play the Ottawa Rough Riders.
I'd rather play Sewanee.
I'd rather play in the Puppy Bowl.
I'd rather play the Duke Lacrosse Team.

I hate playing Clemson.  Fuck Clemson.

Jacobs is back on my doo doo list.

Fucking ridiculous.  Why not find some Kickoff Classic game?  A one time deal with a school that will drive ratings?  Notre Dame is playing Georgia.  Alabama's getting USC.  Tennessee's getting Oklahoma and Oregon.

There's no excuse for this.

Yeah, this does nothing for me.  Schedule Texsa or like 6 said, Arizona.  Get some Big 10 blood in the mix.  Hell, bring the U in to JHS.  Clemson?   :puke:

Arizona's a swell idea, Notre Dame too.
Really want FSU.
Can't stand that yapping little loud mouth Jimbo.
Fuck him, Biliema and the midget.

Miami, ND, UCLA, even one of the Washingtons. I know we played WSU last year but they were interesting. And so was their coach. I hear Pullman is nice this time of year.

But like wes said, Clemson and Wisc - frick no. Never again would be nice.

It's just fatigue of seeing them.  They provide a solid OOC opponent and we usually beat them.  We also owe them payback for beating two putrid Auburn teams.  And Fuck Dabo.

I'm not sure there's anyone else out there I'd rather not play than Clemson.

Here's my order of shitty home and home ideas:

1. Clemson
2. Wisconsin
3. Texas Tech
4. Kansas State (though it'll be interesting this year but still, BOOORRRRRING)
5. The obvious shittastic Big 10 teams like Indiana, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa, and Minnesota.

Pretty much every other school in the Big 5 conferences could at least make for an interesting story.  Like Wes said though, it's more of a fatigue of seeing Clemson over and over again.  If we hadn't played them in twenty years, I'd be all for it.  But as of right now, the 2010 decade will have featured four out of seven football seasons with Auburn playing Clemson and that's if we don't get them in a bowl game, which could very well happen.

Agreed. And the media LOVES them. So when you beat them early, it's like you automatically get a bid for the playoffs.

The downside is IF you lose to them(but that is with anyone). And I really want to crush them for their grate leader's trashy bammer mouth.

But I think everyone outside of the SEC really likes to see these two teams play.

There is no way Clemson is playing for the NC.

Those two loses wreak of mediocre coaching.

Agreed.  I'm also not a fan of playing an OOC game against a team with an offensive system that we won't see the rest of the season.  As long as Paul Johnson and/or the triple-option is in ATL, I don't want to play Tech.

Scarbinsky thinks these two games are Dabo's job interview to be the successor to godSaban.

....you know who really has to love it?

Paul Bryant Jr. Well, him and anyone else at Alabama who'll have a voice in who succeeds Nick Saban when Saban retires. This gives the crimson decision-makers two more chances to evaluate Dabo Swinney against their biggest rival.

and

Quote
There have been seven Alabama coaches since Bear Bryant. Only two of them have beaten Auburn more than Swinney has.

Gene Stallings, who coached and employed Swinney in Tuscaloosa, was 5-2 against the Tigers. Saban is 4-3 against them. Swinney is 2-1, and he's riding a two-game winning streak.

Imagine if Clemson sweeps that upcoming series with Auburn with the highly touted Deshaun Watson at quarterback. Swinney would be 4-1 against Auburn about the time Saban could be seriously considering retirement and Alabama could be feverishly contemplating where to go next.

I like Scarbo in general but he's been reaching a bit lately. Quiet time, anxiety over the season starting, dog days of summer maybe?

I thought Auburn only cares about beating Alabama?  Alabama only cares about the national championship.  Winning or losing to Auburn is just a blip on their radar.

I completely agree that Dabo may be next coach at Alabama. He fits the mold perfectly in the way he portrays himself and his doucheness. Only thing will be the style of football that is played. Not sure Alabama will go in the direction of offense directly after Saban leaves. They may have to eventually, but it will be hard to pull the trigger to that style right after Saban has had so much success with the emphasis on defense.

If they transfer from African to American do they have to sit out a year?

And Fuck Dabo.

This would have been reason enough to avoid them.  Honestly, I may actually despise him more than Sabinz, who is an arrogant ass, but always watches what he says and is mostly professional in his coachspeak.  Dabo is just a raging douchebag with no filter - a typical Turd.
