The most pathetic part of today was ESPN trying to create the crowd-worship of Nick Saban.  It was absolutely awful.

"Look, here he comes out of his car.  Now just you wait folks, we're going to carry the reaction live.  You will absolutely not believe how the Alabama fanbase will react to Saban entering this building.  Just look at the sea of people cramming in to get a glimpse of their beloved coach (cut to camera shot of about 75 Bama fans in a rather spacious lobby).  Ok, here he comes.  (Saban walks through the door.  No loud reaction.  Camera quickly cuts away).  Wow.  Just wow.  People from around the country just wouldn't understand this scene.  I mean, you really would need to be here to truly understand what that was like.  Just wow."

Quite possibly the most obnoxious thing I've ever watched. 

What I took from that:

1. I didn't know Bryant had a mullet. Or that Andy Griffith was an Alabama fan.
2. That they revere that redneck bellowing ginger of a strength coach speaks volumes to their general trashiness.
3. The "highlights" were against pitiful teams and many came late in games.  CroMag runs 80 yards late in the fourth quarter against an Arkansas team down 45?  Yawn.  He runs for whatever against an OK team late in the fourth when the game is fully in Sooner control? Yawn.
4. What the hell does Mark "Ewok" Ingram, the worst Heisman winner ever, have to do with anything?
5. The clip featured at least four targeting fouls that should have been called.
6. I'm glad they liked our "New Day" slogan, but changing it to "New Year" seems silly.  I wish they'd stop copying us.
