After three seasons, Greg McElroy is moving on from the NFL.

The former Alabama quarterback, who spent two years with the New York Jets and one with the Cincinnati Bengals, announced his retirement early Friday on his Twitter page.

I'd like to announce that I retired from the Blue Angels. I won't be flying the jets that I never flew any more.

I'm still trying to see what the attraction is to this guy. He offers nothing. NADA. He has a radio show where he throws out a subject and spends the next 4 hours letting callers make fools of themselves. He talks about Bama and Lord Saybinz all day and couldn't tell you the name of one of their defensive linemen. Because he doesn't know. He sits on the Game Day set with guys who have all played the game, who actually know what they're talking about. Why?

I think you answered your own question. I listen when I'm driving because of this. Not always but often. It's simply entertainment.
