Dexter is not one to sleep on the bed. He will jump up and sleep for a bit, but he jumps down eventually and sleep in his own bed. However, every night that we have been gone this week, he has slept at the foot of the bed with our nanny, who is house sitting for us. He knows she is alone in the house and is watching out for her.

Yep. Dogs rule.
