Title: IPOD Touch
Post by: Thrilla on August 16, 2008, 12:32:42 AM
Not seen much chatter here about it, but I just got one and am posting from it for the first time. I'm amazed at how user friendly it is, especially because I've been sucking bill gates teet since I've been using computers (except in the mid 80's). The one downside is that it took me 30 minutes to type this message.

See my post in the thread about blackberries. the iphone is basically the same as the ipod touch but with a few extra features. It is an amazing piece of equipment.

you'll get used to the touch screen keyboard too.

I like mine, although I haven't used the wireless connection much since I got it.

I was surprised that you had trouble typing on it.  I figured your little midget fingers would be perfectly suited to the keyboard.

That's just it-I have to use both hands to hold it so I've been typing with my toes.

You don't take life too serious.  That's refreshing to see because you're not getting out alive anyway.

I love my IPod Touch - I mostly use it for watching movies, etc. when traveling.  The video quality is amazing.

If they made them in 80GB, I'd be all over them. I have over 60GB in just music.
8GB is nothing.

They do make them in 32GB. But I get your point.

16 GB is plenty if you take the time to create playlists, and then just choose a playlist to suit your mood.  No one can possibly listen to 100GB of music at one sitting.  I have two playlists and 7 one-hour movies on mine right and it is more than adequate.

I don't know what my "mood" is going to be until I'm in the car.

I like to leave it on shuffle. It's like listening to the radio, except only good songs, songs they would never play on the radio because they're not singles, and if I'm not in the "mood" for it, I can just fast forward.
