So, we only got the shitty Vols for one year and replace them with 11 win South Carolina? Seems fair.

So we open with SEC play? When is the last time that happened?
-
So we open with SEC play? When is the last time that happened?
Yeah, this was announced a while ago. It's the SEC network's fault.
To answer your question, the last time that happened was 1995. We beat Ole Miss 46-13.
It will, however, be the first time in our entire history that we will travel to both Georgia & Alabama.
-

Almost 20
1995 against Ole miss
-
I smell bacon

Is it going to be possible to stream the new SEC Network before this next season? Such as will it be a part of the "Watch ESPN/ESPN3" family that I can currently stream right now?

I understood it the first time. :thumsup:
-
I think the last time was in the mid 90's against one of the Mississippi teams.
-
It was probably 20 years ago...I want to say Ole Miss...

I think it was Ole Miss. You can read all about it here.

Auburn should be 4-0 heading into the LSU game which will mean a top 10 ranking that will be scoffed at by ESPN/Finebaum types and being a 40 point underdog because the media. :taunt:
And should we arrive at the Georgia game unscathed, I expect the ESPN/Joe Schad/Saban/REC machine to launch the campaign for 1) Gus to coach the Dallas Cowboys or 2) a pending NCAA investigation that has no proof, merit, or facts.
-
Let me go Debbie Downer here for a second. WAA WAAAA....
That's a bad ass schedule. It could contain as many as 4 top 10 teams with LSU, USCe, Georgia and Bama. By the end of this past season, our offense was virtually unstoppable. I expect it will be again this upcoming season. But you also have to admit, we pulled a couple of games out our collective asses. (We...our...like I played) But...if our defense doesn't improve significantly, this season could be a huge let down. I think they will be better. But, they're going to have to be for AU to get back to the ATL and maybe farther.
-
Brutal schedule.
Losable games even if we continue to develop as a good team:
@KSU
LSU
USCe
@Georgia
@Alabama
Yeesh. Then throw in the fact that Ole Miss has recruited a lot of talent and Dak Prescott will make some noise for MSU. Yeesh again.
-
So seven wins this year?
-
Well, one thing I know is that we will need to take it one game at a time. And, that we will have to play all four quarters to win each game. That's 48 qtrs. or about 52 if we make it to the SEC championship. Possibly even approx. 56 with the natty or bowl game. These "quarters" are 15 minutes long, so, yep.
-
It was probably 20 years ago...I want to say Ole Miss...
Yes. 1995. That was the first game I took my wife to. She got to see what real SEC football was all about. As a competition pecker fan, I will have a sad wife in the house next season.
-
So seven wins this year?
If we're lucky. Georgia and bammer are going to push our shit in.
-
Brutal schedule.
Losable games even if we continue to develop as a good team:
@KSU
Don't know dick about them except that they lost to North Dakota State.
LSU
Lost Met, Landry, Beckham, Hill...and a bunch of other freaks.
USCe
No Clowney or Shaw.
@Georgia
Goodbye, Murray.
@Alabama
Tat boy is dunfer.
Yeesh. Then throw in the fact that Ole Miss has recruited a lot of talent and Dak Prescott will make some noise for MSU. Yeesh again.
Mullen will fuck up MSU again somehow. Freeze is putting something interesting together in Oxford, but they're still Ole Miss.
Not calling for an undefeated season as those are hard to come by (even if Auburn does it more often lately than anyone in the SEC), but I don't see a game that I feel we won't be better than our opponent on the board.
-
Agree with McBowden...
It is a relatively tough schedule especially with bammer and UGAly on the road. However, we are also catching a tougher schedule where we are the more experienced team, and there are going to be a lot of question mark surrounding the rest of the league.
-
I see that schedule and I see 14-0. I also see a bunch of nancies posting in this thread.

Don't be pissin' in our Cheerios, birthday boy.

Srsly, I see an offense that will light up a scoreboard like Lurking Tiger on a slot machine. I also see a defense that gave up well over 30 points 5 times last year. If the D makes some decent improvement, this team can go as far as it wants to.

What about Wallawalla, Washington? Do you think they could make it that far?

I count 4, and of those I would only consider 3 well over.

35 to LSU
41 to TA&M
38 to Jawja
42 to Mizzou
34 to FSU

Besides Jake is gone, I can see nowhere to move but up.

Damn ESPN and their score sheet. Still those were also to the (at the time) #6, #7, #25, #5, & #1 teams in the country. Just sayin. h8tah

But our offense and special teams gave up some of those points

I prefer 15-0 but that's just me.

No one asked you.
And no one likes you, either.

Not sure how you see that, since there's only 13 games listed on that schedule
and what uncle sani said (no. not that it will only hurt for a minute and he promises he'll call - this part down here below)
I prefer 15-0 but that's just me.
-

Not if you count the years when Auburn played in Athens, followed by a "home" game versus the turds in Lesion Field
-
What about Wallawalla, Washington? Do you think they could make it that far?
Btw...it's Walla Walla.

Exactly.
-
Exactly.
Richt will find a Joe Cox and Saban will probably go with Andrew Zow/Tyler Watts.
K, State brings in a number of JC kids so they will be a road mystery. The Mississippi teams will be better and LSU moreso than the rest lose many key pieces which should lighten the annual trepidation for everyone. Mauck impressed but Mizzou has veterans to replace, Thompson not so much but Spurrier might work around it with a solid team returning.
