BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -
A former Alabama defensive lineman dressed up in Auburn colors to pilot the team to California and the BCS Championship.
Curt Jarvis shared a few pictures with FOX6 Sports Reporter Sheldon Haygood. Jarvis is showing off his Auburn tie and hat in one and poses with Tre Mason in another.
Jarvis tells us it's an honor to fly the Tigers out and he hopes they'll bring home the state's fifth straight BCS Championship trophy.
He says if Bama can't go, he's glad Auburn is playing in the big game.
Jarvis played for Alabama in the mid-1980s but has since made a career as an airline pilot. He told us a few years ago that his love for flying took off following a visit to Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery with his father, who was in the military.
More than 14 years later, Jarvis is a veteran commercial pilot.
The Auburn Tigers will face off against the Florida State University Seminoles Dec., Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN.
