I don't get it, Big Dan.
The scenario was that Auburn wins out and jumps an undefeated team. That didn't happen.

Paul should be made to pay for it all.

The scenario was that Auburn wins out and jumps an undefeated team. That didn't happen.
Listen again.
He asked if Auburn would jump an undefeated team. Finebaum said asked who the team was. The kid said Florida State & Oregon. He said no way. When the kid said "We need one of those teams to fall then, huh?", Finebaum condescendingly and dismissively said "I don't think you need that, I think you need to run the table first. I tell you what, I’ll make you this promise, though, Josh. And I shouldn’t be doing this, but if Auburn does all that and gets into the national championship game, I’ll take you to Pasadena. Okay? You're in. You're going with me to Pasadena. That would be dramatic."
The question of whether or not Auburn would jump a second undefeated team is secondary to Finebaum's pompous claim that if Auburn "does all that" (beats #1 Alabama and top ranked Mizzou) "and gets into the national championship game", he was going to pay his way. Well, Auburn "did all that". They're in. Pay the piper, Pawwwwl.

He's on hold for Paul as I type this.

I listened to it. What I understood was Paul said 1 loss AU would not jump over an undefeated FSU or Oregon to get into the BCS natty. We didn't. End of story.

You don't listen so good.
Yes, the question was whether or not Auburn could do that. But Paul answered that question by being a condescending dick, as usual, and saying it wouldn't matter anyway, because in his mind there was no way Auburn would beat Bama & Missouri to make it into the game regardless of circumstance.
Auburn kept up their "dramatic" end of the bargain.
FWIW, Finebaum is giving the kids the tickets on air right now.
-
According to the Facepages, Paul's giving him tickets to the game.

I guess you're trying to make an issue of his saying "all that" but the question the guy posed was about a 1 loss AU jumping undefeated Oregon or FSU. That's specifically what Finebaum asked him to clarify. He did. We didn't. That's all anyone with good sense needs to know. It has less to do with us beating Bama or Mizzou because of his asking about us specifically jumping Oregon or FSU and WE DID NOT jump them. I don't hear well but I heard that. Ain't nobody got time for this.
Just someone trying to get something for nothing.

How about airfare and hotel accommodations, and sitting next to the bammer scumbag himself in the fucking booth or box?
-
According to the Facepages, Paul's giving him tickets to the game.
I am starting a petition to try to get Paul to reverse this decision. This freeloading con artist does not deserve this. He is stretching the truth and creating a controversy where there shouldn't be one.

The question about whether or not Auburn could jump a hypothetical Oregon is completely secondary, irrelevant, and totally outside of Finebaum's condescending statement that REGARDLESS Auburn doesn't "need that" because they won't run the table anyway. Then he said if they DID run the table and found a way into the game (which has nothing to do with whether or not there is another undefeated) he would pay for his tickets.
He realized he fucked up and he gave the kid his tickets.
How about airfare and hotel accommodations, and sitting next to the bammer scumbag himself in the fucking booth or box?
He said specifically he can't get him airfare or hotel accomodations, but I suppose getting him the tickets is reasonable enough.

I think that he "realized" that it would be cheaper to end a potential PR nightmare and give in the the whims of a freeloading con artist and his freeload minded supporters. There is nothing irrelevant about the fact that Fineboob had him clarify the undefeated teams in the hypothetical scenario (Oregon and FSU), unless one is a freeloading con artist and trying to change the rules of the friendly wager.

That's just the way those people are.

You people just don't understand. This boy is representative of a group. He needs to be held accountable. This is what is wrong with society today. Too many people trying to get something for nothing without just cause.
And some people on here are racists. I'm not going to name any names but you know who you are.

Oh, so now it's us people that are the problem.

Wait...he gave the kid tickets????
Change the thread title. That's fucking awesome. How many times have you or anyone else made a hyperbolic claim or promise because it was so out of the realm of possibility that you believed there was no chance for it to happen? It happens a lot.
Like "if that happens, I'll eat my hat."
Even though people may razz you about it, no one expects you to actually do it.
Kudos to Finebaum and whoever else made it possible for the guy to go to Pasadena.

See, this little clip is a prime example of what I'm talking about. Is it diverse? Hell no. Meant to be humerous, I know. But still, some things just make me want to go ghetto on somebody ass.
And why did this thread end up racial? Only because Paul Finebaum is black, that's why. And I'm not afraid to say it. That's why the person who started the thread wanted to go that direction and make him pay. There, I said what no one else would.

Davis, Jr. is not a Jewish name.

I would like to apologize to anyone that I may have offended. I just found out that Finebaum isn't black. I thought he was the guy that won the Heisman and played for Michigan. My mistake.
But, he shouldn't have to pay for this freeloader to go to Pasadena regardless of his color.
-
I just wiki'd Sammy Davis, Jr. and he actually converted to Judaism after military service. I just knew he had dropped the berg off the end of Davis for show biz purposes. Sammy Davisberg, Jr. just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Rod Carew is going to blow your mind.
DAMN IT!!! Another one?
-
More wiki's. So, it must be true
There is no evidence that Carew ever formally converted to Judaism, although he wore a chai necklace during his playing days. His first wife, Marilynn Levy, was Jewish and he was a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Santa Ana, California. Their three daughters were raised in the Jewish tradition and had their Bat Mitzvahs there. When one daughter, Michelle, died at age 18 services were held at Beth Shalom, and she was buried in the family plot at the United Hebrew Brotherhood Cemetery in Richfield, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis where Rod Carew played for the Minnesota Twins.

Bwahaha. The ignorance is palpable. I'm NOT A racist, I just fucking hate folks who think they are better than everyone else. That is all.
Genetic origins
Main article: Genetic studies on Jews
Efforts to identify the origins of Ashkenazi Jews through DNA analysis began in the 1990s. Like most DNA studies of human migration patterns, the earliest studies focused on two segments of the human genome, the Y-chromosome (passed on only by males), and the mitochondrial genome (mtDNA, passed on only by females). Both segments are unaffected by recombination, except for the ends of the Y chromosome – the pseudoautosomal regions (PAR1 and PAR2). Genome-wide association studies have also been employed to yield findings relevant to genetic origins. Genetic studies revealed that Ashkenazi Jews originated in the Middle East during the Bronze Age (between 2500 BC and 700 BC) spreading later to Europe.[100] Collectively, Ashkenazi Jews are less genetically diverse than other Jews.[101]
The majority of genetic findings to date concerning Ashkenazi Jews conclude that the male line was founded by ancestors from the Middle East.[102][103][104] Others have found a similar genetic line among Greeks, and Macedonians. Martin Richards, of the University of Huddersfield in England, summarized the findings on the female line as such. "[N]one [of the mtDNA] came from the North Caucasus, located along the border between Europe and Asia between the Black and Caspian seas. All of our presently available studies including my own, should thoroughly debunk one of the most questionable, but still tenacious, hypotheses: that most Ashkenazi Jews can trace their roots to the mysterious Khazar Kingdom that flourished during the ninth century in the region between the Byzantine Empire and the Persian Empire."[105] A 2013 article in the New York Times referring to other studies on the line of Jewish mothers mentions a different study to the one of Richards stating: "Another recent study, also based on [mtDNA], found that a mixture of European ancestries ranged from 30 percent to 60 percent among Ashkenazi and Sephardi populations, with Northern Italians showing the greatest [genetic] proximity to Jews of any living group."[106] All studies agree that genetic overlap with the Fertile Crescent exists to some degree in both lineages, at differing rates.

I'm no racist, really. I think one thing and type another, whatever that's called. Three years in the army got rid of every bit of racism I was raised with. My Auburn grad stepfather was a violent ,redneck, racist. I had to unlearn that shit by getting the shit beat out of me when I was about 20 years-old while serving in South Korea. That shit's gone. You know, I just got a job (starts tomorrow), and it's been a tough year for me. I have found a way to survive with just 6 weeks of work out of the 52 with no food stamps, unemployment benefits or any other kind of government assistance. It hasn't been fun, but cash is king in my book. I even found a way to help an old deaf black man that was broken down in the Winn-Dixie parking lot. Folks of his own race wouldn't help him. That's got to be the loneliest feeling in the world, to be deaf, broke, broken down and trouble communicating with people, helpless and without tools to fix his truck. However, I took time to help him get out of the cold and back to his house to get the stuff needed to fix his truck. We ended up towing back to his house. It was a bad fuel pump, but we got it fixed. If I didn't learn anything else in the Army, I learned not to be racist or put myself above anyone else. Apparently, Finebaum thinks himself better than everyone else, oh, and Dinky too.

Finebaum talks shit to a Auburn fan on the radio, makes a promise to the Auburn fan, goes back on his promise...then says that he'll make it right. Still, no answer from Finebaum. That's what I expect from a inbred bammer.
