saw this over on the scout board and thought it was good.
A good point was brought up on The Opening Drive this morning. If either UConn or South Florida were undefeated, do you think they'd be in the MNC game over a 1-loss Auburn/Mizzou? Everyone on the show agreed whole heartedly that the undefeated UConn/USF would be left out. It turns out that BOTH UConn and USF had more difficult schedules (statistically) than tOSU. The ONLY reason OSU is in the game is because they were also good 20-40 years ago. That's it.

I thought Oregon State lost several games this year.

We aren't counting them because the losses were against really fast opponents.

As stated before Auburn (and least 5 other SEC teams) would be undefeated with their schedule. If the events were different and Auburn had tOSU schedule and the Big 10 had quality teams the North media would be screaming about this. If the turds were in our positions the south media would be screaming.
Should we win Sat we get left out.

While our win is in question in my mind because of how difficult it is going to be for this staff to get over last Saturday themselves--not to mention the players, Mich. State is money. If we win, we comin'.

Not trying to be all black chopper and such, but you don't think that there has been some discussion at the Big 10 office about how they need tOSU to win?

Just for clarification Oregon State University no longer associates itself as OSU. It's either OS or Oregon State.

I have thought about this and it could happen. Esp since it's been 7 years. But I just feel like the officiating would have to be worse than abhorrent on national t.v. for this to happen. I could be wrong, which as you know is highly unlikely, but I think Mich St is a better team than OSU and this is the first good D that OSU has played.
