Yup, best college game/play in COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY....IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY...Lemme repeat that again, IN. COLLEGE. FOOTBALL. HISTORY.
Let that sink in.
40 years from now, that game, that play will still be the best in history. For all who witnessed it first hand, I'm jealous.
My most memorable games in order (Top 4):
2013 Iron Bowl (I was on my couch)
2011 National Championship Game (I was there)
2010 Iron Bowl (I was on my couch)
2013 Auburn vs UGA (I was there)

You aren't allowed to go to Iron Bowls anymore or get rid of that couch.

If you would be so kind to notice, my post re this notes that the NY Post writer states that it's the greatest in "sports". Not just in football. You should really read my stuff more. BTW, I made a change to my list. SDH isn't coming to Auburn.

You're a dumbass, and so is that guy.
Saban pretty much told it the way it was. Some was on him, and some was on the players. And that was the reality of it. I never said that he took every bit of the blame, nor do I think that he should have. You're simply being a homer and trying to pour it on him. It's not his fault that open guys were dropping balls for TDs and first downs. It's not his fault that AJ was inaccurate at times. It's not his fault that DBs are leaving people wide open and fucking up assignments. There's only so much that you can put on a coach.

Not his place to say that, though.
No decent coach not named Nick Saban would let his players take one cent of the blame.
Most would yell their gender and their age.

And some was on the AU defense holding the all powerful Alabammer offense to 4 field goal attempts in the first place, getting at least some pressure on the all world Heisman candidate of a QB, stuffing a critical 4th down run, and forcing at least a few punts.
Some of it also goes to the AU offense for whipping that ass on the los, a qb that ran almost into triple digits and a TB who isn't on anyone's Heisman list that ran over a buck fifty on a D coached by the two highest paid defensive minds in college football.
AU should have won by two TD's. Our one fumble was a two TD swing. We had a couple of near misses on passes too but it just so happens that BOTH of those were likely TD's.
AU did a lot to lose this game too. We just didn't.

No shit. As I said in the other thread, I'm not saying that the only reason that Auburn won is because Alabama made mistakes. I'm simply speaking to the notion that Saban threw everybody under the bus.

Yeah, but he did throw everyone under the bus. If the Waterboys/girls had missed their que to supply the team with water during a timeout, they would also be under that bus.
"If my finely tuned athletes had done their job and tackled everyone, caught every pass, blocked everyone into the stands, threw the perfect pass everytime, been deadly accurate with the field goals (only called upon just so that the kicker wouldn't get rusty), we'd been victorious. But it was my fault as the HC. We knew what might've happened had the ball been short on that last FG try from 56+ yards out, the players just didn't know what they doing out there, because they're a bunch of fuckin retards. That's on me too."
