That "VICTORY" was just like Auburn. All luck! That's the difference between us. We weren't excited about winning on a field goal. We were wondering what we needed to fix because NO ALABAMA TEAM should ever need to beat Auburn on a last second play. That's BILL CURRY crap! And we NEVER need a lucky play like that to win! ENJOY YOUR ONCE IN A LIFETIME VICTORY BARNERS BECAUSE NEXT YEAR IS GOING TO BE PAIN! ROLL TIDE ROLL!
This post is 100% reflective of the mindset of an Alabama fan right now. And he's 100% accurate. If Bama had made that field goal, they would have called into Finebaum on Monday complaining about how their team didn't play well. If they had returned a missed field goal for a last second touchdown to win, they would have cared more about criticizing every other play during the game rather than soaking in the fun and excitement of such a victory.
I don't think they've always been this bad. I think they're spoiled. Good luck, Nick Saban dealing with this especially next year when you're breaking in a different (Sims) quarterbacks or a similar but very green quarterback (Batemen or whatever). These fans are going to be insufferable.

Most of your fanbase is in meltdown. And to add to what you said....your one loss was to the current #3 team in the country on their field and came down to the last play. All about perspective. And 90% of bama fans have none.

It's like I said in another thread. The majority of the fanbase has forgotten that what Alabama has accomplished over the past few years is the exception, not the rule. It's abnormal to go undefeated in the SEC due to the nature of the conference. It's abnormal to win a BCSNC like Alabama has over the past few years. It's the same people who meltdown over losing one game. It's the same people who have forgotten the Shula years, and all the years of suckage. It's the same people that will want heads to roll next season because of the growing pains of breaking in a new QB.
They can't appreciate the fact that 11-1 is a pretty fucking good season. It's exactly what Terry Saban was talking about. If you lose one game, well fuck it. Burn it all down and fire everybody.
