Title: The Rankings
Post by: Townhallsavoy on November 17, 2013, 02:26:49 PM
Coaches poll is out.

Motherfuckers put us at 7th with Clemson at 6th.

It doesn't matter...we take care of business and that fixes itself.

Better than CFN which has us 10th behind LSU, Stanford, Oregon, Clemson and Missouri and barely ahead of A&M.

Rationale: Auburn should really be 8-2, they lost that Georgia game. And they didn't set the world on fire against Mississippi STate or WSU, remember? Missouri beat Georgia in Athens. So there! Oregon scores a lot of points in the best league. Stanford beat Oregon, you dumbass! Can't penalize them for that.  LSU? Well they beat Auburn, right? And they only lose on the road so three losses there makes them number six, easily.

It should, but with the coaches voting the way they have been, I don't trust it to fix itself.

I don't expect to get to the BCSCG.  I won't even be that upset if we get passed by another conference champion because we do have one loss and there will most likely be two teams that don't have a loss.

But if a team like fucking Clemson jumps us, it's just like 2004.

Thankfully the AP poll doesn't really mean shit, but here's what one AP voter had:

http://www.pollspeak.com/component/option,com_psreport/Itemid,3/f,/lang,en/o1,/o2,/o3,/o4,/p,54/r,V/s25,/seed,1384714357/t1,9/t2,/v,664/w,13/ (http://www.pollspeak.com/component/option,com_psreport/Itemid,3/f,/lang,en/o1,/o2,/o3,/o4,/p,54/r,V/s25,/seed,1384714357/t1,9/t2,/v,664/w,13/)

Auburn at 9.
Texas A&M, UCLA, and Wisconsin all ranked ahead of us.

We are ranked 6th only behind Oregon of the 1 loss teams. I believe we will be 5th in the BCS.

Better record than all 3. And beat Aggie at their house. Makes perfect sense.

I'm thinking a two loss South Carolina beats Clemson in Columbia. Missouri has to play @ Ole Miss, a team on a four game win streak, and JFF at home. And of course the Ol Ball Coach already beat Mizzou head to head.

IF we beat Alabama, I doubt a win over either Mizzou or USCe would vault us over any team above us presently that wins its conference championship, Baylor excluded who still have yet to play @Okla. State, @ TCU  and Texas.

Michigan State will likely give Ohio State its toughest test of the season in the Leaders/Legends finale.

That leaves FSU and Oregon occupying the top two spots unless, UNLESS a win over the greatest team ever assembled by the greatest coach of all time is enough of a push to jump the fastest team known to mankind.
Did I forget anyone...anything?

That's crazy talk!  :aubie: Eh, so it's a reach.

Beating Bama WILL allow us to jump Oregon. Probably not Ohio State or Baylor.

We will likely finish the year 3rd or 4th overall in the last year before they start taking four, because Auburn.

I think (hope) we would be higher than a one loss Oregon team(should we only have one loss). But who knows with the dumbass system they have now.

Baylor plays in a broken conference without a championship game (not their fault) and Ohio State plays a weak schedule (also not their fault) but loses to Sparty huh...HUH! Okay I'm done.

Gonna disagree on Ohio State, their out of conference games could help but they continue to play, Teams like Buffalo, San Diego st, Cal, Florida A&M. And their whole conference is weak as shit also.

I know. Bitter sweet.  It does appear that Sparty will have a great chance to knock off tosu. Baylor also has 3 decent games left. Believe!! And concede nothing.
