Title: SCREW ESPN
Post by: Kaos on October 20, 2013, 04:15:03 AM
Auburn cheated. The phantom horse collar was confirmed by a fat bastard in a suit.

Win is vacated.

Didn't count.

I could see where ESPN might want to protect their franchise player and all but that particular tackle from behind was just a good football play.
We practiced bulldoggin' all week but once the game started JFF just wouldn't be still.

Good thing is, no one else likes JFF so I don't think many will side with them on this outside of college station. I think most of the world wanted to see him go down.

They sure as hell didn't want to show the highlights. Took FOREVER. But you'd have thought that skullfucking Clemson got was the only game of the day.

Which I really enjoyed because of that ass Clemson has as a coach.

Horse collar my ass! I have watched repeatedly this morning frame by frame and all he had was the neck of the jersey.

Who gives a shit if it was a horse collar?  It wouldn't have been a touchdown if they had called it.  He still would have had to make a play into the end-zone. And he wasn't going to make that play.

Yes - a thousand times yes. But when you want to see the highlights of an actual shoot out involving your own team, watching a skullfucking is slightly less satisfying.

The Aggy are clinging to this like a life preserver off the Titanic. I had one try to start something with me last night, and I gave the pat answer:  You shouldnt have put yourself in the position of having to rely on a penalty to win.  Welcome to the SEC. Suck it up, buttercup.

Honestly, considering it was Penn Wagers and his crew calling the game last night, I am shocked that there were so few flags thrown.

And I just noticed watching a highlight clip that JFF sat on the sidelines after the win and was an unsportsmanlike pussy whiner. Fuckstick.

But but but... ESPN had an official stand up there in a suit and confirm it was a horse collar. Definitely. No question.

We didn't win.  We just cheated by horsing that poor guy and because he had to miss five plays. Because if he had been in there? Five more touchdowns.

Espn and the faggies. That's who.

If only they had gotten that horse collar call they so rightly deserved....

They sound like a combo of UGA fans and Uncle Rico.

Wow. Are they really saying that? Because I thought the alleged horse collar was during the last 2 sacks. That would be quite a feat for the horse collar to take effect on him before it happened. Aggie logic. I mean, we are talking about the school that has all male cheerleaders who grope each other.

I say fuck the entire media.  They have down played Auburn all year.  Even Gary and Verne talked as if Auburn has no shit.

It's funny how a team is based off of last year when last year has absolutely nothing to do with the present.  Think about, should Alabama really be 1, no FSU should but because Bama won last year they are till someone beats them.  Where was that logic after Cam left?  Just because we sucked last year this team must suck also.

The media is really killing something that I love. :fu:

I didn't get to watch the second half, got home at 4 a.m. and turned on ESPN hoping to see a few highlights.

They showed Manziel throwing to 13. They showed Manziel getting "hurt"  and noting that with him out of the game A&M had to just take field goal and then on the next series actually had to punt.  But then the warrior returned.  Warrior scored again. They showed that.

They showed one Auburn run, maybe two.

They showed the "horsecollar" and then the last play sack. Then they transitioned to a former official wearing a suit and standing in front of the big screen. He went over the "horsecollar" repeatedly while he said it was an obvious horse collar and he was stunned it wasn't called.

They then showed a 2.5 second clip of AU players celebrating.

And moved on...

Let 'em complain about the supposed horsecollar. They still lost, we still won. Like it was said, I don't think much anybody else cares outside of College Station and the ESPN Manziel knob slobbers. I lost count on how many holds were not called when JFF scrambled out of the pocket.

I don't remember Auburn people lining up to slob Cam's knob like these pathetic creatures are for JFF. It was just non-stop Johnny love, like he was a damn one man show, and the only one capable of making a play. I can tell you this, Evans makes him look damn good. The guy can catch anything within ten yards of him - and JFF throws a damn ugly, wobbly Tebow-like pass. Evans is a stud, no doubt.

I was not impressed with JFF.

Didn't he also have a knife and a gun when making this play? Always thought better of the A&M folks out here but they are big time butt hurt over this.

Was talking to someone about this play and all you get is horse collar, Auburn plays dirty blah-blah. When I mentioned that the refs had to stop JFF from talking smack to guy who I don't think said anything to him during or after the touch down, I get he is just too competitive.

Quote
All players are prohibited from grabbing the inside back collar of the shoulder pads or jersey, or the inside collar of the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, and immediately pulling the ball carrier down. This does not apply to a ball carrier, including a potential passer, who is inside the tackle box (Rule 2-34). Note that the tackle box disintegrates when the ball leaves it.

I guess it was a horse collar then.

It depends on what the refs interpretation of immediate is. It was one we got lucky with, yes but I can see how it would not be considered a penalty. It wasn't like he ran into a clothesline.

This, also the pulling of the jersey is not what brought him down. The right arm wrapped around his chest is.

Again, I wouldn't have been shocked if it were called. But it wasn't as cut & dry as Skip Bayless is pretending and it didn't ensure shit as far as them scoring a TD.

There are situations where you have to act while possibly incurring a penalty. This is one of those situations...if you want to win. Frost got all jersey and I'm damn proud of that tackle. Damn proud!

Watching the replay now on CBS express. Never seen a team get away with so many holding calls.  Third quarter screen and their guy just tackled 43 to break it.  Every play I see stretched jerseys and bear hugs. It is RIDICULOUS.

And can I just say this as well? Every time they show a crowd shot or the crowd is visible in the game shot about 3/4 of the people are paying no attention to the game.  I'm calling BS on the whole 12th Man nonsense. It's a pretend tradition that they claim to do just to say they do it. They remind me of an ole piss crowd. There to be seen, not see.

When they do their ghey "Aggie War Hymn", they go all arms over the shoulders and sway back and forth. I heard the Gameday crew call that an "awesome site" once.  Uh. No.  All that did for me was make me damn glad I was sitting in the open and not under a balcony or upper deck in that decrepit POS stadium. The whole place shakes like a bonfire pile (too soon?).

Cracks me up that a good two-thirds or 5/16ths of their fight song is about U of Texas. The part they repeat over and over is about sawing Varsity's horns off, and they call them texas university, which I was told was spelled lower case. When I pointed out that we would NEVER want to mention the Turds in our own fight song, the response I got was "well, theirs talks about us too."

Ok, so that makes you both equally as lame, especially since you don't even play each other anymore, dumbasses.

The student section stands the entire time, but that is because it is unrestricted general admission and they pack them in there like sardines, so there IS no place to sit.

I can say more emphatically than ever that I am so damn blessed to be an Auburn Tiger.

If they had to rely on a penalty being called to have a chance to win at the end, fuck em.  They shouldn't have played like shit at some other point in the game.  They shouldn't have a defense that couldn't stop a decent 6A high school team.
