Title: Stream of Consciousness post-Aggy
Post by: Tiger Wench on October 20, 2013, 12:26:49 AM
First and foremost - holy shit, y'all. The boys wanted this. And they got it. Awesome.

First impression - that is the single dumpiest stadium I have ever set foot in. It makes Legion Field look like Cowboys Stadium. Concourses are tiny. Bathrooms small. No tvs so that when you are standing in the interminable line for food or potties, you have NO clue what's happening. Back logged lines to get into the seats. Horrid horrid. Never got loud until the last 4 minutes. They are currently not SEC worthy.

People were pretty friendly. No assholes. Some whining about the nonhorsecollar at the end but fuck em. Shouldn't have been so close that you needed to whine about needing a penalty to win.

Not enough words to express how ghey their little cheers and songs are. "Whoop" on every first down. Their "yell leader" dude cheerleaders do all these coordinated hand movements during the "cheers" that make them look like they are milking a cow while beating off.

Speaking of beating off, I was struck that No one cheered "Go Aggy". It was "Go Johnny! Come on Johnny!". Every Aggy there, man or woman, would have blown him at midfield. It was pathetic.

They are so fucking stoked to be in the SEC, like they finally got the key to the executive washroom, or get invited to the Kool Kids Klub. They all tried so hard to try and convince me their traditions and shit are somehow awesome or unique and I was like "Dude, we've been this cool for a long damn time.  We can match this and them some. Y'all have a long way to go."

As for our guys:  we had great seats ten rows up on 25 yd line. Jake Holland was in front of me a lot. Worst MLB in AU history. Hands down.

Lots of room for improvement but I'll take it all day.  It was amazing. I was shaking for the last 4 minutes. Stomach hurt. Then down he went. And then again.

It was fucking glorious.

War Damn Eagle, y'all.

Was completely sober, before, during and after. Just felt like I needed my wits about me.  Superstition and all that. And I did something I never do, which was wear orange because they were all in maroon. And I wish like hell I had worn a hat. My face and cleavage are fried. Sun did not go down until end of third.

Best part was getting to actually go out the field post game. Sang alma mater with cheerleaders. Took a pic with Aubie. Got a pic with scoreboard in background. Awesome experience all the way around other than the insane bathroom line. So proud to be an Auburn Tiger.

The Aggies were almost too nice. Was kind of cultish. Got like 4 rounds of drinks picked up by different Ags. All night long was getting completely non-ironic War Eagles. Got a little chippy in the game at a couple points. First being some Auburn fans booing an A&M player clearly faking an injury to stop the clock. Their fans about lost their shit over that. Then the aforementioned alleged horse collar. That being said, outside the stadium was creepy-level ass-kissing.

At one point, standing in line to get in a bar, a pickup truck yelled a Roll Tahd out the window. An Auburn fan in line said "Aw, fuck you." A&M fan said "Hey, Hey, Hey. We don't say that here." Auburn fan said "no one wants to hear that shit here." A&M fan replied "Maybe, but that's no reason to tell someone to F off."

It's like they're Mormon or something.

I didn't go to College Station, but let me tell you about the local turds.

All day long it's been a stream of them stopping me while I was out with the family, making it a point to tell me that "when we ain't playin' Aubren, I like ya'll.  Glad ya'll beat A&M."

Over and over and over.

I'm not sharing this with them.  I've basically ignored them.

Standing in line at the convenience store in front of an old hag that had to be mid 70s. She's got two six packs of cheapo beer, obligatory houndstooth shirt and some crazy spangly hat that mixed houndstooth and some bedazzled bows.

And she starts.  Auburn fan every day but one. Hopes we do good. I ignore her and ignore her.

And then, "Well, except for that Cam Newton. I couldn't stand him. Wasn't nothing but a hired thug. Can't stand him but I hate Johnny Manziel almost as much as I do him, so I'm glad ya'll won yesterday."

I wanted to punch her.

I got to hear a little bit too, but it was more on this subject:

"Auburn's gotten extremely lucky this year, but that's okay.  You'll roll into the Iron Bowl thinking you can beat Alabama and get to Atlanta.  Will be fun to win 35-7 and sing Rammer Jammer in Jordan Hare."

And that guy was probably right since Alabama is juicing and paying for NFL prospects to fill their 85 man roster.

They win 49-42 in College Station because they are amazing.  Best offense they'll face all year, shut down the reigning Heisman winner with their electric offense.

We win 45-41 in College Station because we cheated. And were lucky.

Apologies to the Hardee's gobbling skank and Momma Showtits, but at this point in the season Auburn's offense is better than Alabama's. It's been better against better competition.  Washington State, for God's sake, would be the second best team Alabama's played so far.

They might violate us.  But I wouldn't bet on it now.

Before and during the game, yeah.  Once we won, it was like they were trying to take credit and bask in our reflected glory or something.

I hired you people to get a little track laid, not to jump around like a bunch of Kansas City faggots!
