Don't you get it? Auburn sucked in 2012. This year doesn't matter.
Has anybody seen WSU play? Not a bad team no matter what scarbinsky says.

Didn't you see how well Virginia Tech contained the Tide? I mean, to score 10 points like that. Must be a top 25 team. In addition to that, they won hard fought games against East Carolina, Marshall, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina.
-
Just looking at some of the other teams the schools above us has played makes me just shake my head. Northern Illinois? Tough schedule you guys have there....
-
Complete joke at this point. Have only lost to the current #10 team who was like #4 at the time. Beat a ranked opponent and one more we were underdogs. Washington State getting no love is hurting us as well.

AP Top 25
Arizona St. 3 - Lost to Notre Dame in Jerry's Place. And stupidly.
Mississippi 3 - Got punked for the second week in a row. Whoever has these votes should be stripped of them.
Rutgers 2 - Beat SMU in TRIPLE OT. Yeah, that's impressive. :taunt:
1. Alabama (55) - And screw these people. No way you can tell me this team deserves this ranking. No way.
-
I cannot make myself care yet. I guess I just don't think it matters until I feel like we are a legit SEC contender. Maybe we are there and I just don't realize it. We cudda beat LSU and should be able to compete with anyone else on the schedule but I don't see us winning the west-- so I havn't wasted any time worrying about this.
I still have too much work to do with Marshall and our LB situation.

LSU might be the best team in CFB for all I know. What I do care about is achieving the highest ranking possible for a bowl game which should give us some momentum for the preseason polls in 2014. Don't know if this sways any future prospects but it can't hurt.

I'm still trying to figure out how the BSPN talking heads can even mention "AJ" and "Heisman" in the same sentence???
I hope our "D" makes AJ cry in pain come Nov.

Perhaps, but who are you going to put there? Oregon who hasn't played any decent team? Clemson, who beat UGA by 3 and hasn't played anybody else? Ohio St, whose best wins are against Northwestern and a 3-2 Wisconsin? Let's be honest, nobody in the top 5 is overly impressive.
-
Perhaps, but who are you going to put there?
Maybe a team that has not had to suspend 10 players in the last 8 months.
Somebody is about to die falling up the stairs pretty soon.....

If I am basing it off just what I've seen this year?
Fsu
Oregon (beat tenn badly who would have beat Uga if not for the zebras)
Stanford
Hell, even Baylor.

Pac 10 > SEC this year. Fact.
Oregon and Stanford both would most likely beat any SEC team including the almaghty tahd.
-
By the way, still not ranked in the ESPN Power Rankings, or the coaches' poll where we weren't even close to being considered.
11 votes whereas Missouri, who remained unranked in the coaches' poll as well, got 86.

Agree.
Sec has less disparity and is better top to bottom this year but lacks heavy weights at the top. Aggy would probably give Oregon the most trouble.
-
Perhaps, but who are you going to put there?
Anybody but bama.

So you guys are saying that there exist PAC ?? teams that have, or have faced, defenses as good as SEC defenses?
Are you kidding me. The left coast teams have always had decent offenses. Don't get caught in that BS trap again. Very few times does it come true. They put their beat against our best year after year and lose. I don't see that changing.
FSU might be the closest thing to SEC caliber football. They DO have a good defense. And with Winston, I know I am glad AU is not on their schedule.
But to say that any of the PAC ? teams could hang with the best SEC teams is once again delusional.

Oregon 59.
Tennessee 14.
Georgia 34.
Tennessee 31.
After overtime, and a complete meltdown on Tennessee's part.
-
Stanford 55.
Washington State 17.
Auburn 31.
Washington State 24.

I've yet to see a good defense in the SEC this year.

Florida. But they are alone in this regard.
