Title: AU - TAMU
Post by: Tiger Wench on September 25, 2013, 05:39:04 PM
One of my sales guys owes me big, and just handed me two EXCELLENT tickets to the AU - TAMU game on October 19th.  Gonna watch JFF take us behind the cow shed in person for two years running.

Any of you bitches going to be there?

I'm praying our defense takes JFF to the woodshed and ass-rapes him.

I've already told you I'll be there. Still don't have tickets, and may not get them considering how astronomical the prices are. If your sales guy can get his hands on others I'll pay at least face value.

I was planning on coming out, getting the corndog passed out drunk, and then having my way with you. Unfortunately, I have a trip to Ohio on the schedule and won't be able to swing Texas.

We'll rendezvous at the bullpuppy game.

Fraid not but it shapes up to be a wild defenseless contest. We are in better shape and might even touch him this time around.

Yes, Chizadly, I was expecting you.  Sorry - he only had the two.

I am now planning a bonifide tailgate - not up to Smoking Joe standards but still decent, if y'all want to come hang out and try to pick up two tickets last minute. We will drive up early Sat am - no game time set yet.

The rest of y'all are pansies. Srsly, PCT, Ohio instead of me?  I'm insulted. And here I planned to wear some of Zoot's interesting underwear.

How will I know you?  Don't y'all all look alike?  Maybe you should have a rose between your teeth and an Auburn leaf blower on your back.

PM me your number and I'll let you know where we wind up.

Wish I was going, but most likely I'll be watching the (1-5) Tigers 135# team lose yet another pee wee game.

I'm still trying to get a ticket($$$$$$ good lord) (my dad already has ONE). I have hit all my business and personal contacts with no luck. If I don't get one I have a 4 day golf weekend back-up plan in Hot Springs so the weekend will be fun either way.

I don't understand why the ticket prices are so damn astronomical. Aren't we like 30something point underdogs? Why this game to be so sought after?

Anyway, Wench, you gonna have a TV? May hold down the tailgating fort while y'all go in, if that's an option.

IMO its the A&M fans, playing(and winning) in the SEC is new and fun to them, they are now playing real teams (not the Baylor's of the worlds). You have people who are going to games that have never gone and I heard that when it was mentioned that A&M was moving to the SEC, sales on season tickets and package increased almost 50% and that was last year.

I've driven in all the large cities in Texas on Saturdays where I couldn't even find a fucking game on the radio. They have their high school and professional teams but quite a bit of their fervor for college football is overstated IMO. The move for TAMU to the SEC makes them stand alone while the Longhorns are slowly resembling a program in Knoxville.

The JFF Knob Slobbing is unreal when combined with coming into the SEC without being given much of a chance to compete.  It was just a perfect storm, and as soon as he leaves, Sumlin or not, they will go right back to suckage.  Then you won't be able to give away tickets.

What's awesome about this is that the Aggies are burning all their smack talk bridges around here with "We so awesome!"  and "SEC ain't so tough!" so when the inevitable beatdown comes, and they go back to being MSU with a different dog, I am going to really enjoy myself.

The ones I know around here I think know that day is coming are just talking numbers and such. When I got back from the A&M game last year most just noted that Auburn was really bad and were asking me why. No smack talk that I remember.

Go back a year before JFF.  LSU played the Aggies in Dallas (I do believe)  That was a Mad Hatter smack down of epic proportions. And I thought A&M was pretty good that year.  Guys like JFF and Evans put them on the next level.  But....don't be too quick to call their demise.  It looks like they've kicked it up an Emeril notch with their recruiting the last couple of years.

That's the thing. Guys like JFF help recruiting as well. Kind of a self fulfilling prophecy. Will it be enough? Will that recruiting boon continue after he leaves? Time will tell, I suppose.
