Will be a one and done.
I don't think we'll see him this season. He still has a month to go, and he simply cannot stay out of trouble.
Latest is he went to a frat party and was thrown out by Texas fans who threw beer at him. Then a picture emerged of him smoking pot.
My prediction now is that something will happen that gets him suspended.

Proves nothing.
It proves that a certain other fanbase and state media hates the guy and is scared to death of him. Hence the need to dig up old pics, fake pics and make a big to-do about him sleeping through his alarm at the manning passing camp from being exhausted and on the go. Peyton even said it wasn't a big deal. But leave it to our state media and the Espn homos to turn it into something to make him look very bad while making AJ McTattoo look good. Ya know ole AJ is a leader. Tried to wake him up and everything. What a guy!
Pretty obvious to me a few minor things are being blown up for the very purpose of what it is causing amongst fans and the media. I think the kid will have a more down year compared to last year simply because other teams see him coming now and he lost 2 linemen to the nfl. But it's seems there is an effort to squash him totally before the season even starts. Remember Cam guys. Same shit here.

Remember Cam guys. Same shit here.
I was with you until this.
Cam was an upstanding citizen being shredded in the media and by other fanbases for no reason. Johnny Manziel was pictured with a bong. He was thrown out of a frat party. He was sent home by Archie Manning. He has been pictured over and over again engaging in the party scene.
It's nothing like Cam.
-
It's nothing like Cam.
yeah, Manziel does not ride a scooter across aTm's campus like a god in a chariot

I have trouble envisioning a gladiator on a scooter but I can see Cam in a chariot.
-
Everybody just chill.
JM is gonna light it up this fall. You'll see. He will get out there on that grass and be blazing.

It's the same in the fact that it's a slander job being done to someone who is a threat. Cam had a few questionable things in his past. Was no big deal to me. Forgive and forget right? Then at the most opportune time, bring the shit to light. Same thing is happening here. Sure Manziel has done a few questionable things. I don't think he's a bad guy. I think a lot of this is being blown up purposely. Wasn't really comparing them side by side as people. I think they are both victims of the same process.

While agree that Bama is a little more adamant to tear Manziel down for obvious reasons, I do think his behavior is way out of line. It would be a complete embarrassment if he were an Auburn player.
Can you imagine if this were Cam? Or any black QB for that matter? How much would he be branded as a thug?
This is very old and fake.
Proves nothing.
You have a knack for saying untrue things with a pomposity that makes people not question them.
Very old, yes (three months). How are you so positive that it is fake? That is clearly not a photoshop. It is very easy to spot a photoshop when scrutinized, and that is not one.
And it does prove something. It proves he was taking bong hits. That is embarrassing for Texas A&M.
I'm not saying these kids have got to be saints, but they do represent their school in a way that normal students do not. Having some decent self control is part of the price of being a college football player, let alone a superstar like Manziel. It's kind similar to the Anthony Weiner situation. It's not that he got caught. It's that he got caught and STILL pathologically cannot STOP, despite the fact that it is clearly jeopardizing his career.

Sure. It's embarrassing. But to the level you're seeing in the media? No. The passing camp sleep in was the biggest bunch of nothing ever. From everything I've read deciphering through the ESPN rhetoric it was mutual thing more along the lines of "hey Johnny, you know you've had a pretty busy last couple of weeks. You look exhausted. Why dont you head out early and get some rest. It's pretty apparent you're tired". To which he agreed. That was pretty much the Mannings' side. But to hear ESPN tell it? Fucker went out to tit bars, got plastered and missed the next days camp hungover. What a creep! And AJ, well - he tried to be the big brother. He tried to wake him. Because that's just how grown and mature he is. What a bunch of crap.
-
Leave AJ McTattoo out of this.
Manziel is acting just like Lindsey Lohan, Amanda Bynes, Britney Spears from a few years ago. He's one a one way ticket to a speedy crash landing.
Should he be a saint? Who was in their 20s? Is what he's doing different from a lot of American male college students? No, but he's not a regular American male college students. He gets benefits, opportunities, and stardom based on his abilities. Like it or not, that makes him a role model, a face of the program, etc. And now he's seemingly doing shoot just to reprove his point about wanting to just do what he wants and not giving a rip what anybody thinks.
When A&M gets dump trucked this year by a few teams, the guns are all gonna be on him. If he weren't in the news all the time for these kind of antics, the blame would be where it should be - the fact that they lost the lineman and the WRs. But it won't because he's made himself the target and he doesn't have the legs of credibility.
If he proves everyone wrong, goes out there balls to the wall and A&M wins big, then the egg will be on me and everyone else who thinks this guy needs to get his priorities in line.
Common sense says that won't happen.

When the "Johnny football" money stops coming in for aTm, they will address it. Until then Party on Wayne. Party on Garth!

Let's put the shoes on our feet.
What would be your reaction if JF was an Auburn player?

I have a knack for speaking truths. That's not pomposity. It's just black and white. Racist!
Very old, yes (three months). How are you so positive that it is fake? That is clearly not a photoshop. It is very easy to spot a photoshop when scrutinized, and that is not one.
Yeah. It is photoshopped. That's already been established. Pick any one of eleventy katillion sources. As someone who uses Photoshop on a semi-regular basis, I recognize it as an obvious hack job. And not even a good one.
And it does prove something. It proves he was taking bong hits. That is embarrassing for Texas A&M.
Does it? I see no actual weed. I don't even see it in his hand. Can't really tell for sure it's him, actually. For all you know the guy in the photo is waving it off or going to throw it out the window.

Ok, he's being stupid maybe. But he clowned on us, he clowned on them, he clowned on Okie. I wouldn't want to see pictures of Brandon Cox doing this, but you can bet your butt photos of this nature exist for half the players on all CFB teams in the country. But nobody cares to see Jake Holland's pics. Or AJ McTattoo's.
And you said weiner.

It is much like Cam. The media is hell-bent on taking him down. Is he giving any and everybody ammunition? Probably a little, but it doesn't take much really. And, when he doesn't give it to them, the haters simply make it up. At this point it would be impossible to sort out what is known, what he's done/not done, what's been blown way out of proportion twisted or embellished, and what's a damn lie. They all get lumped together, and it all becomes "he's acting like Lindsay Lohan....blah blah blah". When he actually gets arrested, or suspended from the team, then I'll pay attention. Until then, it's a lot of noise made by a media and haters that love to see superstars knocked off their perch, and prefer it to be off the field rather than on the field by real competition.

Bullshit. Let's see you photoshop something in its place that looks as seamless as that. Also, please link to just one source that proves unequivocally that it is a photoshop. Where's the undoctored photo?
I'm not saying I'm 100% sure it's real. But if it's photoshopped, it's far far far from being "not even a good one".
Does it? I see no actual weed. I don't even see it in his hand. Can't really tell for sure it's him, actually. For all you know the guy in the photo is waving it off or going to throw it out the window.
A lot of benefit of the doubt there. He's clearly reaching for a bong, and it sure as hell looks a lot like him.

Especially when the player is a threat to the establishment powers of Bammer, USC, tOSU and ND.
Like I've said, he's done things. Some questionable. No denying that. It's just being made a national story by people with bad motives. You said it right - he's giving them ammo to do so, as minor as it may be. Now they'll just make up shit when he goes quiet.
Players actually get arrested at thuga and bammer....and still play! JM gets kicked out of a party, takes a hit on a bong or oversleeps - and it's time to stop the damn presses. I guess the PTB up the state don't wanna redux of last years Aggy game.

Right. Because a photoshopped photo doesn't promote their brand of hysteria.

An ASSISTANT COACH at Bama got busted for possession.
Nobody says boo.

Well. In all fairness, he was just hanging on to it for a couple of the players...

What a maroon (and white). His ego is out of control. Welcome to the big time, dumbass. Like you didn't know this is what it would be like to be a stud QB in the best conference in CFB?
He may not make it.
Johnny Manziel now keeps high school friend Nate Finch busy as a personal assistant. While Nate explains the insanity of their lives, as if on cue another negative story breaks, this one about Johnny almost being suspended for the season last year after his arrest and coming within five days of transferring. Nate reads the news on his phone and looks concerned. "How'd that get out?" he asks. "Less than 50 people know that. That's someone in the school talking." ... There's been a growing rift between the school and its most important student. It's not just Nate's paranoia about the story, or Johnny's frustrations with the nonfootball, marketing expectation of the school, or his father's sense of injustice that everyone makes money off his son but his son. The rift is more profound.

The real problem:
His family did too. His parents wanted to get jffmom and jffdad on their license plates -- Johnny F -- ing Football, as the name was originally coined on the A&M message boards -- so caught up in the mania that it took their 17-year-old daughter, Meri, to point out the bad example that might set for the kids who looked up to her brother.
he Twitter negativity became a drug he both hated and couldn't kick, and he stayed on his phone, reading every response, firing back. His father defended him too, getting banned from the TexAgs message board and then, after borrowing a friend's login, getting his friend banned too.
Is there a TitanAggie? Just curious.
The family is angry about the trophy, which really is a symbol for every little indignity, real and imagined, fueling the rift. This January, Johnny's family wanted his copy of the Heisman, which the school told them hadn't arrived yet from New York, Paul says. So finally Paul contacted the Heisman Trust, which told them it had shipped the trophy directly to Texas A&M. Paul suspected the school misled him, using the second Heisman to double its fundraising and recruiting possibilities. Texas A&M, through a spokesman, appeared baffled at the accusation, and it's difficult to find the line between a lie and a simple miscommunication.
From the Manziels' perspective, everyone, from Sumlin to the school to the NCAA, seems to care deeply, even profoundly, about helping him through, just a little bit less than they care about helping themselves.
"It's starting to get under our skin," Paul says. "They're so selfish."
The Manziels are tired of a coach getting a million dollars and their son getting an appointment with a therapist.
Bad parenting, a life of excess fueled by money the family did not work for or earn and what do you get. A crappy, entitled dad who spawns an entitled son.
The parents are the real problem here.
-
Sounds like this could end strangely similar to the plight of Bobby "Motherfuckin' Petrino. Johnny F'ing Football. Stay classy Aggies.

Yep.
Although, I do wonder where Kevin Sumlin is in all of this. He's chosen to ignore any questions from the media about it and seems to be living up his own recent success.
-
More from Daddy F---in' Jackass
In the cart, Paul checks his phone, hoping he's got a text message back from an athletic department official. He'd written: "Everything ok with Johnny? Said he had a meeting with you and Sumlin." Nobody got back to him, and now he fires off a sarcastic bow shot: "Never mind. Don't really care. Sorry to bother you."
FWIW, If I was Sumlin I wouldn't talk to this raging lunatic either.
Paul knows his son better than anyone else, because he used to be his son. Driving around this golf course makes Paul remember his past. Local rumors linked the family fortune to the mafia, and this filled Paul with anger as he struggled to become a man. He blames his own absent father for not helping him reach his potential as a golfer, for his flaming out on the minitours, but somewhere inside he knows he shares the blame: He let his anger, and his immaturity, derail his dreams. He had the talent to be great, but he lacked something else. "I was a dumbass wanting to fight everybody," Paul says, "and thought I knew it all. I was playing golf and chasing women."
Still a dumbass. A bigger dumbass now than he was even then because he's not smart enough to see his own limits. Blaming his dad -- who MADE THE FREAKING MONEY THAT PROVIDES HIS EXCESS -- for his own failures. Fool. Utter clown.
Not long ago, backstage at a country music concert, the two Manziels hung out with some of Johnny's friends. There was Uncle Nate, a high school teammate named Bryan and Johnny's buddy Colton from College Station. Everyone stood around, the band warming up. Without so much as a nod, the Crotch Shot Ninjas struck: Paul punched Nate in the nuts, and, simultaneously, Johnny kicked Bryan and hit Colton, both in the balls, both at the same time, and as the three dudes doubled over and the band howled in laughter, Johnny and Paul gave each other a fist bump.
Yeah, there's some real maturity there. Great job, dad.
The waiter arrives mid-rant and asks if Johnny would like another beer.
"Yes, please," Johnny says quickly, a hard edge to his words.
Drinking with dad. And he's 20. What's the legal age in Texas?
That night at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, 44 stories above the street, did he understand? He and Brant -- who'd gotten him into the fight that almost derailed his football career before it began -- tried to process the big hunk of bronze in the room. Breezy drank Heineken. Johnny drank Stella. They wore matching pajama bottoms, talking about the arrest and the improbable months that followed.
Beer again the night he won the Heisman. What's the legal age in NYC?
-
Drinking age is 21 nationally.
The only thing states differ on is smoking age.

I love how they all give each other those cute little nicknames. Uncle Nate, Breezy, Sqeezey, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy....

What?

Didn't Cam say the money was too great?
ESPN said so. Gotta be true. They fail at facts, context and dirt digging.

Drinking age is 21 nationally.
All states prohibit the purchase or public possession of alcohol by persons under 21, but not all states have 21 as the drinking age. And even for those that have 21 as the drinking age, there are states that allow those under 21 to drink under various circumstances, such as if their parents are present (including Texas). Louisiana even allows you to drink if you're under 21 and married. I guess they realize that you will probably be driven to start drinking after marriage.
