Heisman-winner, Auburn legend and video game icon Bo Jackson will be back in action this summer - at least in digital form. Jackson will appear in the latest edition of EA Sports' best-selling college football video game franchise NCAA Football later this month in the game's Ultimate Team mode.

Jackson was added to the game late in the process, according to one of the game's developers.

"He was kind of a late addition for NCAA," developer Tom Lischke told video game website Kotaku. "We had been trying to get Bo into Ultimate Team for years now. We thought we had him last year, but he decided at the last second he wasn't interested."

Jackson became part of video football lore when the developers of Tecmo Bowl made him a nearly unbeatable character in the 1988 video game.

EA Sports developers say they were determined to give Jackson similarly dominant abilities in NCAA Football '14 and as a result, ended up downgrading other players already scheduled to be in the game, including Heisman-winner Barry Sanders.

"Barry was always the ultimate back in our game. But [he and Jackson] have always played differently, and that was a big part of our effort, to make them all play different. Once we added Bo to the mix, we had to make some adjustments. We had to leave room for them to feel different."

Correct me if I am wrong, but uh, wasn't that just regular Bo?
