@Josh_Moon 22h
At least everything else is going so well“@maggiethecat27: @Josh_Moon @jeremycoleman Just another black eye for the AU athletics programs.â€
@Josh_Moon 18h
Alabama and Auburn should just drop basketball. Kidnappings, point shavings. This trouble just isn't worth 15-19 wins per year.
@AUChizad 12h
@Josh_Moon Is the Pollard kidnapping "just another black eye on the program"?
@Josh_Moon 11h
@AUChizad It's a black eye. But "another"? Not many black eyes in Tuscaloosa lately.
Handful of AU players used legal spice? Calloway, Kirkpatrick, even coach Crudup (among others) arrested for the real deal.(1of5) @Josh_Moon
@AUChizad 2m
AU's felony 4? Dismissed within minutes of the news. Hayes, Williams, Pettway, Calloway? Not til 2 weeks & 2 arrests later (2of5) @Josh_Moon
@AUChizad 3m
Allegations that MS St tried to pay Newton reflects poorly on AU? Ignore TTown Menswear, HotWheelz, laptops, fishing trips…(3of5) @Josh_Moon
@AUChizad 2m
You also used the "black eye" line referring to Liner arrest (now at Bama) & the shooting which AU players were the victim (4of5) @Josh_Moon
@AUChizad 3m
Speaking of victims, Ward victimized AU. Pollard victimized a 6year old girl. Tell me again how only AU has a black eye. (5of5) @Josh_Moon

TWITTER BATTLE!
â€@Josh_Moon 3m
@AUChizad Well, that's a very impressive mountain of bs you've created. 1. Said Pollard's arrest was blackeye. 2. AU athletics is a wreck
@Josh_Moon 2m
@AUChizad UA won another nat'l title (golf), had very good softball team, baseball made a regional, basketball was average, football... well
@AUChizad 1m
@Josh_Moon You were not talking about "on the field" success when you said the Ward situation was a "black eye" on the program. Period.
-
@AUChizad 4m
@Josh_Moon Or Liner, or the shooting, or anything else you called a "black eye". But since you shifted the goal we did win a FB NC 2yrs ago.
@Josh_Moon 5m
@AUChizad AU fired 2 of its top 3 men's coaches, 3rd could've been fired. 7 football players arrested in 18 mos. Allegations every other mo.
@AUChizad 1m
@Josh_Moon How many Bama arrests in the same time period? You made the comparison, yet when it's equal or worse on the other side you ignore
@Josh_Moon 4m
@AUChizad Get out of here with that nonsense. There's no on/off distinction. I was talking abt the athletic PROGRAMS at both. AU's is a mess
@Josh_Moon 1m
@AUChizad Oh, shut up w/this childish whining. If you can find 1 legit Bama fan who thinks I give them a break, I'll agree with you.
-
OOoooooo....Josh Moon called you a whiney child. Twat him a new one.
-
Chopper reaching out and lending me a hand.
@AuburnChopper 9m
@Josh_Moon @AUChizad Actually, few AU fans will dispute the state of athletics, but to pretend crimes and issues at Bama do NOT...
@AuburnChopper 8m
@Josh_Moon @AUChizad ...at minimum mirror, exceed the crime and childish "black eyes" is a narrow ridiculous stance which you're supporting.
@AuburnChopper 5m
@Josh_Moon @AUChizad Basically, you're getting angry at someone that's able to say Athletics doesn't/shouldn't mask off field issues.
@AuburnChopper 5m
@Josh_Moon @AUChizad Bama players beat up a kid to by a Butterfinger, but it's not a black eye cause Auburn fired coaches. Nice.
@AUChizad 4m
@Josh_Moon Why don't you answer this question instead of throwing a fit? More UA player arrests in last 6 months, than AU arrests in 18.
I'm going to be required to back that last claim up.
I'm counting Pollard, their felony four, and of those, Williams committed a second robbery & Calloway was arrested for marijuana possession. Any others? I remember there being others that we hadn't even heard about until later... Also, not counting the two Liner arrests. And I wonder if he's counting the Liner arrest as an Auburn one? Who are our other three arrests outside of the Felony Four?

Just WTF is a legit bammer anyway? Spawn from a marriage outside of incest?
-
The fact that our state media is willing to argue with readers on Twitter over silly subjects such as this is a primary indicator that our state media is completely fucked up and 100% capable of pushing all things Bama.
-
@AUChizad There were actually more than I mentioned at AU. Won't name them again, but there was a qb, wr, ol, fb and rb arrested.
WHO the fuck is he talking about??
@Josh_Moon 3m
@AUChizad Fact is, it's been a terrible couple of years and Ward's arrest IS another black eye, no matter, as I said, that AU did right.
@Josh_Moon 2m
@AuburnChopper When did I say that wasn't a black eye? It was terrible. And I criticized Saban for not immediately dismissing 2 of them
Also, this:

@MGMAdvertiser Is this story in today's print edition?

@prestonhornsby It was just online.
@PrestonHornsby
Why? @MGMAdvertiser Bad news for former AU player is front page headline; bad news for current UA player is "just online."
@AUChizad 4m
The @MGMAdvertiser doesn't want to blacken any non-AU eyes, right @Josh_Moon? @PrestonHornsby
@Josh_Moon
@AUChizad @PrestonHornsby UA arrest should be played more. But also remember that Ward lives here, was HS star in this town. Bigger here

He's talking about Dismukes, and I forgot that Pike actually was ever on the team. Granted, he didn't make it to the Fall. Quan Bray was arrested for loud music and open container.
Who's the Fullback? Who's the RB? Pretty positive he made those up...
And what other Bama players were arrested? I need ammo!

Eric Smith? I'm sure that was longer ago than 18 months when he knocked a mofo out.

Yeah, that was like 5 years ago. Wasn't him. Pretty sure he just made that shit up.
-
Actually, he was arrested again in February 2011 when he was kicked off the team, but that was still way beyond the 18 month window he laid out.
Any idea who the FB was before I make a fool of myself?
And no one can think of a single other Bammer arrest in the last 18 months?

UA football player charged with marijuana possession
Posted: Oct 21, 2011 10:18 AM CDT Updated: Oct 28, 2011 10:18 AM CDT
TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -
A University of Alabama football player was arrested and charged with marijuana possession last night.
The Tuscaloosa Police Department says Brent Cameron Calloway was arrested in the 900 block of Paul Bryant Drive at 12:49 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21.
Officers stopped a car that was driving without lights and noticed a strong marijuana odor coming from the car. Calloway was a passenger in the vehicle. Police found marijuana on Calloway's person and arrested him.
Police charged the 18-year-old freshman running back with second degree unlawful possession of marijuana. Calloway was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail last night. He has been freed on a $1,000 bond.

Alabama football: After leaving Crimson Tide early for NFL draft, cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick arrested for marijuana possession
Published: January 18, 2012
By MICHAEL CASAGRANDE — Special to the Ledger-Enquirer
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- A week earlier, Dre Kirkpatrick hoisted a crystal football in New Orleans.
His early-morning hours of this Tuesday, however, involved handcuffs in Central Florida.
The now-former Crimson Tide cornerback was arrested just after midnight on marijuana possessions charges in Bradenton, Fla. Kirkpatrick was booked at 12:48 a.m., and released on $120 cash bond.
Another former Alabama defensive back was arrested and booked at the same time on the same charges. Chris Rogers, a senior on the 2009 national championship team, was also processed by the Manatee County Sherriff’s Office.
According to a police report obtained by the Associated Press, Kirkpatrick was the passenger in a vehicle driven by Rogers who was stopped for driving on the wrong side of the road. A drug dog detected narcotics and police found the marijuana on the floorboard near Kirkpatrick’s feet.

Thanks for this! I've found all kinds of stuff on here. A new pencil holder, parakeete food, when AA meets in my area, a stapler, and some more stuff I'll list later.

Just be careful with the staplers. At work, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire...

Still didn't see the answer.
Of these:
Dre Kirkpatrick - arrested
Mark Barron - arrested
Rolando McClain -arrested
Courtney Upshaw - arrested
Dennis Pettway - arrested
Eddie Williams - arrested
Brent Calloway - arrested
Tyler Hayes - arrested
Jeremy Elder - arrested
Jimmy Johns - arrested
Aaron Douglas - arrested
Simeon Castille - arrested
Rashad Johnson - arrested
Brandon Deaderick - arrested
Brandon Fanney - arrested
Roy Upchurch - arrested
Only Dre Kirkpatrick (1/17/12), and the aformentioned Felony Four, plus Pollard fit in the arbitrary 18 month window.
Also, not counting Liner.

I was told that I could listen to the radio at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven, I told Bill that if Sandra is going to listen to her headphones while she's filing then I should be able to listen to the radio while I'm collating so I don't see why I should have to turn down the radio because I enjoy listening at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven.

If you’re bored today, suggest you hop on over and read @Josh_Moon ‘s timeline over past 24hrs. Some pretty entertaining stuff.
@Josh_Moon 36m
@cinco2seis I don't suggest you go back 300+ days like 1 guy did.
@AUChizad 58s
@Josh_Moon @cinco2seis To prove you are a liar, yes. It's called a search function.
@Josh_Moon 3m
@AUChizad @cinco2seis And yet, you didn't. Good use of time. Now, go away.
@AUChizad 2m
@Josh_Moon QB didn't make it to the fall, WR got an open container & OL got a PI. Forgot those, but ok. No FB or RB arrested in last 18mos.
@AUChizad 3m
@Josh_Moon In this time, Hayes, Pettway, Williams (x2), Calloway (x2), Kirkpatrick, Chris Rogers, Liner (x2). Hardly far worse at AU.
@Josh_Moon 53s
@AUChizad I didn't say in last 18 mos. You quoted my column from awhile back. At that time, there were two more arrests.
@AUChizad now
@Josh_Moon You didn't say the last 18 months? Only have to go back a couple hours to prove you're a liar this time.
@AUChizad now
@Josh_Moon I quoted your tweet from a couple seconds before, dipshit.
@Josh_Moon 54s
Love that an Auburn guy is arguing that arrests weren't a problem for football team. Dude, your school hired security to follow the players
@AUChizad 9s
@Josh_Moon Auburn guy is responding to your ridiculous claim that it's much worse at AU than Bama. And owning your ass.
@Josh_Moon 1m
@AUChizad Knock yourself out, genius. Find where I said "last 18 mos."
@Josh_Moon 3m
@AUChizad Yes, and apparently you can't read. Because it doesn't say "last 18 mos." It says "18 mos." Now, go away.
I retweeted this:
@Josh_Moon 4h

@AUChizad 42s
@Josh_Moon OOOOHHH...so you were talking about some random 18 mo period in history, I should have known you're not talking about the last 18
-
@Josh_Moon 5m
@AUChizad Yes, the 18-mos period referenced in the column from which you pulled the Liner comment. That "random" 18 mos period.
@AUChizad 8s
@Josh_Moon If we're pulling random 18 month spans out of our ass, let's pull Saban's first 18. How many arrests in that period?
@Josh_Moon 3m
@AUChizad It is much worse at Auburn. Your athletic dept. is a joke. And a player indicted for shaving points is ANOTHER BLACK EYE. Sorry.
@Josh_Moon 2m
@AUChizad You're done now. I've allowed this to go on too long, my fault. You're embarrassing yourself. Accept reality and move along.
@AUChizad 1m
@Josh_Moon You have a learning disability. I'm screaming at a bubble that nothing can penetrate. MORE UA arrests. MUCH MORE serious ones.
@AUChizad 56s
@Josh_Moon And you're counting cases in which AU is the VICTIM as if to blame. Also implying point shaving worse than kidnapping a 6yo girl.
-
Sorry, I forgot to include this step:

:rofl: Thank you.

Moon blocked me.
I can still see this.
@BendCreations 23m
@Josh_Moon What the heck is wrong with you? Our athletic department is a joke? Are you a professional journalist? You don't act like it.
â€@Josh_Moon 23m
@BendCreations Fired 3 coaches top 5 sports. Could've fired 4th. Winless in SEC in football. Won 3 in basketball. Missed regional in bball
â€@Josh_Moon 16m
@BendCreations Had former players allege NCAA violations. Hired security team to watch players. Point shaving arrest.
â€@Josh_Moon 15m
@BendCreations If you think calling all of that "a joke" is too harsh, OK. I'll apologize to you. But don't act like it wasn't warranted
Also:
@PrestonHornsby 13m
Interesting @Josh_Moon I saw the kidnapping story on yesterday's 6:00 news.
@Josh_Moon 11m
@PrestonHornsby Yeah, this was an oversight/ball drop. Only way to say it.
Which, of course, contradicts what he said earlier. Dude is a nutcase.
-
â€@wilsobk 8m
@Josh_Moon holy crap. Can you possibly be that dense? Your inability to grasp simple concepts is disconcerting.
@Josh_Moon 5m
@wilsobk You mean a simple concept such as there are far fewer black eyes w/UA's program lately than w/AU's?
@wilsobk 4m
@Josh_Moon sigh... Professional's shouldn't take the bait. Have a nice night and hopefully learn how to become a proper journalist.

Wouldn't surprise me one day if he declared he was a Bama fan. Something's always been creepy about him in regards to trashing AU and calling himself an Auburn writer. Much like Woodberry did.
Screw him.

He, without a doubt, loathes Auburn, and conversely, makes any and all excuses to protect Alabama.
Whether conscious or not, he's a bammer as far as I'm concerned.
The conversation he had with me alone proves it.
I mean, seriously, what other industry could someone who supposedly caters to one group of people specifically, trash and ridicule those people as a whole the way that he did in that conversation. Saying Auburn is a joke, and then when called out on it, repeating and steadfastly standing by those claims.
This guy's every bit as bad as Woodbery.

I DO NOT recommend his radio show. The other host is a Bammer too. It's Bammer love fest central all the time. Without the two hours of Bill Cameron daily, Auburn fans have no place to go to listen to decent content (and even Cameron's show has A LOT of Bammer callers).
-
Also, after all that about the "oversight" of putting Ward on the front page, but completely omitting the Pollard story from the entire paper, there was this exchange this morning.
@PrestonHornsby 1h
@Josh_Moon I see Devonta Pollard/kidnapping story didn't make front page or "Top 5 Exclusive selections for our subscribers" @MGMAdvertiser
@Josh_Moon 50m
@PrestonHornsby It's not a front page story here. And 1 of our reporters didn't write it, so it's not "exclusive" to us.
Not a front page story here. He thinks that's a perfectly satisfactory answer to why Ward's indictment, which is a story from a year ago, is front page news while a CURRENT Alabama player fucking kidnapping a child is not newsworthy "here" in Montgomery. Unbelievable.

He does seem to know how to keep the Bammers that do call in - in check. Same thing for the obnoxious Auburn callers like Terry.
-
This morning, our local talk show host was saying how amazing it was that no one wanted to talk about either situation. He said we have one school with a former player indicted for point shaving and the other with a player accused of kidnapping a child and nobody is calling about either one. He made a good point in saying this should be a talk show host's dream but unfortunately, it's basketball and nobody around here gives a rip. So he brought Bryan Matthews on to talk AU recruiting. :thumsup:

That's the rub. I'm pretty sure we have talked the Ward situation to death for 15 months.
It was certainly newsworthy, but Auburn was the victim of a point shaving scandal. Yet, the media, predictably, attempted to spin it as an "Auburn problem". Auburn blew the whistle on Ward. Yet, again, that's a black eye.
A current player fucking kidnapping a 6 year old girl is not worthy of getting printed? At all? And the Ward thing, that has been talked to death for over a year is front page worthy? That's beyond asinine and is, in my opinion, indisputable proof that the Alabama sports media has a clear bias at best, active agenda at worst.
