AUBURN â€” The ax has fallen on the second Auburn coach in less than six months. Auburn softball head coach Tina Deese, the only coach in the 17-year history of the program, was fired by athletic director Jay Jacobs on Wednesday following a 30-23 season including a 7-17 mark in conference which ended with the Tigers missing the SEC Tournament for the first time in six years.
