One of the best written stories I've read in a long time.  Keep a tissue near by, and I'm fully aware of the type of people on this forum.

What type of People are on this forum? That story was unreal, the mother should be in jail for life. I had a shitty childhood but it wasn't even close to what Dani has been through!

Damn.

Reading what this child has been through, then thinking about all the children like her that no one knows about that endure this hell. It's heartbreaking and sickening.

That was rough.  After reading that, I had to go upstairs and give my daughter a hug, before I put her back in her closet.  My wife's getting an extra beating tonight in the place of that girl's birth mother.

Upon first glimpse, you wouldn't exactly call us a bunch of sensitive guys discussing curtains and feelings.  Just saying that I knew no matter how tough you might be, that story was going to get you.

Some people are too evil to live.  I know she is borderline retarded herself, but that "mother" should have been imprisoned.  Thank God that child has a chance at a loving home.

And I always knew you guys were a bunch of decent, goodhearted marshmallows underneath - I don't hang out with totally superficial lost causes.

wow, I'm just glad she has a good family now.  Reminded me of that movie "Idiocracy" 

I almost want to buy her an Auburn shirt or an Aubie doll and mail it to her.
