Title: John Sullen Bench Press Numbers
Post by: Townhallsavoy on March 05, 2013, 03:08:46 PM
John Sullen could only do 3 reps at 225.

That can't be correct.

Word is that he's fighting a shoulder injury.  If so, it's stupid that he would even try.

You sure you’re not just counting all the reps from last season?

WTF?  Honey badger could only do 4 reps at the combine too.  I guess I should go get me a football scholarship cause I can do more than that, and I'm old.

So basically he could only do a handful of pushups...SMH

Off topic: Ontario McCalebb did 225 ten times.

Carnell Williams (225lbs) 19 times at the '05 NFL Combine.

John Sullen (225lbs) 3 times at the '13 Auburn Pro Day.

Same Strength and Conditioning Coach, different Head Coach...different emphasis on training.

It doesn't take Ric Romero to report this. Seeing our line get tossed around like rag dolls over the last 2 seasons tells me everything I need to know.

Remind me to attend the open tryouts as soon as Chizik gets a head coarching gig in the NFL...

I'll apply to be the S&C coach. It'll go something like this:

Me: "Buzz, you wanna lift some weights and maybe do a little running?"
You: "Fuck that."
Me: "Ha ha! You thought I was serious. Let's go drink some liquor."

I'll bring the mead. New batch is a little dryer than the last...and more potent.

Man, I'm so glad Sullen didn't fall while running his 40, would've been pretty embarrassing to watch him not be able to get his fat ass off the ground.

I've said it before, it's really sad that a Freshman or Soph. transfer can come in and be one of the strongest guys on the team, regardless of position....I just didn't realize we were that fuckin weak (smallest guy on the team is stronger than a few OL). $5 says that Chad Slade isn't that much stronger on the bench press, I'm guessing he could rep out a little more than 3, like maybe 5 or 6 right now.

Chad Slade is slow ass, tub of goo that should be a back up at North Carolina A&T.  How we ever got in the position to have guys like him and Sullen starting for us is mind numbingly pathetic.

I believe Coarch Chizik called that "the blueprint."
