I just saw that, At first, I was like she was troubled soul that needed help, but to shoot a defenseless dog before you want to end your life is just fucked up.

This is more proof that dysfunctional parents beget dysfunctional offspring. This girl had been fucked up in the head since being a teenager. Add in the drugs/psychotic meds, fame and some traumatic events as a trigger and this is what you get. This wasn't surprising at all really.
