I think so.  He won the game last week, but didn't actually start.

Not McElroy.  He didn't start.  Only helped the Jets win in clean up.

Yeah. That's what I meant to say. Croyle.

Brodie Croyle?  Surely, it has to be him, right?  Nope.  0-10 in NFL starts.
Jay Barker?  Nope.  Not one win as a starter.
Mike Shula?  Nope.
Jeff Rutlege?  I don't even know who the fuck that is.  That's how long ago it was.

I think Auburn had one last week.

Pretty fucked up state of affairs for the Jets.  Not being a homer, but I think that starting McElroy really is the best choice at this point.  I'm assuming that this weekend will determine whether or not he gets cut after this year. Fuck, even if he throws 3 INTs he still did better than Sanchez did against the Titans. The bar is set low at this point.

They haven't given him much of a shot since being at the Jets. I don't think he's taken very many snaps. I don't see him as being a highly rated QB but I think I would've already tried him over Sanchez. Kid won some games last year. It ain't how he did it or what it looked like.

Well, they obviously don't care about winning if they're willing to start a Bama quarterback.

Playing for draft position.

Maybe hoping McCarron will decide to leave early

Well, he won a game for them just being thrown in and asked to go win it 2 weeks ago, so I would hope that having time to get the bulk of practice reps will help.  Honestly, they probably have the same odds no matter who they start.  It would be really hard to fuck it up worse than Sanchez at this point.

I don't think the offense has made wholesale changes to suit Tebow's strengths and cover his weaknesses.  When you have two true drop back pocket passers, one of which you're paying a lot of money, you shouldn't change everything just for Tebow.  But at some point you're going to need to make a decision.  Tebow isn't effective even as a change of pace guy.  So do you want so swallow your pride and retool around Tebow, or cut him loose?

Why are they not hiring midgets at receiver?
