I'll say this about the new Sheriff.  I thought the only chance he'd have a changing AU for the better was cleaning house....everyone. 

So far, I'd give him an A on cleaning the slate and bringing in Ellis Johnson as DC.

You know, I think Malzahn might be exactly what Auburn needed.  I made the comment here years ago that he was the only one who looked like he knew what the fuck was going on during a game.  Back then I even wondered "Shit, who is running the show? Malzahn is all over the place and Chizik is just walking around like he's in outer space."  Malzahn knew exactly what the problems were, but he wasn't the boss, so he couldn't do much to change it.  He got out of the situation.  He knew what had to be done when he came back as the boss.

I think that you guys are going to be happy with him.  I really do.  He is stepping on everybody's dicks that need stepping on, and making some great personnel decisions.  I just hope that others stay out of his way.

Agree. He's went up in my book simpy doing those two things. I like it so far. He has to minimize any tie back to the old staff. At least this tells me Gus understands the magnitude of the problem.

Coach Malzahn: ”Hey Wayne, I'm going to need to see you in my office, so put down that cream cheese filled pastry and get here...NOW!!!”

Wayne Bolt: ”Chomp, chomp...uhhhhhh, okay Coach.”
(45min later)
Wayne Bolt: ”I'm here Coach, you needed to see me?” *wipes off cream cheese from his chin*
Coach Malzahn: ”Yeah, Wayne...I'm going to need you to pack up any belongings that you have and...how do I put it......
