Title: Heisman?
Post by: JR4AU on November 26, 2012, 05:48:31 PM
Can Johnny Football be the first Fr. to take the hardware home.

Passing Stats: 273/400 68.3% 3419 Yds 24 TD 8 Int
Rushing Stats:  184 Att 1181 Yds 19 TD
Total Yds/TDs: 4600 Yds 43 TDs

By Comparison to Cam

Passing: 185/280 66.1% 2854 Yds 30 TDs 7 Int
Rushing: 264 Att 1473 Yds 20 TD
Totals: 4327 Yds 50 TDs

I lost a lot of interest in CFB with Auburn's struggles this year.  Is there anybody else even close to this guy, or an an upperclassman with "good enough" stats this year to get it as a career achievement award?  Collin Klein's numbers weren't even worth posting for comparison.  Who you got winning it?

That Teo (??) kid from Notre Dame.  Feelgood story puts him over the top in what has been an otherwise unimpressive year for hot shit players.

Your vote for the "Lifetime Achievement Award" and the first pure defensive player to boot.

It's Manziel.

The trophy is already a sham especially after Ingram, but if anyone deserves this year, it's him.

He's one of if not the slipperiest player I've ever seen.  He's been pinpoint accurate with his throws the 2nd half of the season.  He's gutsy.  He does what it takes to win.

Texas A&M came into this season as a team most thought were hoping for a bowl game.  Instead, they beat #1 Alabama in Tuscaloosa and were just a few points away from being undefeated.

Kevin Sumlin deserves a lot of credit for their success, but without Manziel, they're no where near the team they are right now.

Kid is a freak.

That's the way I see it, but wonder if the media types will pull the trigger on a Fr.  Would be a travesty if they won't just based on that.

My thoughts exactly. Give the Heisman to the #1 player in the Country, not to a top-tier player on the #1 team.

If they give it to anyone else it will only further convince everyone that it is a total shame. Johnny Football has already won the Heisman with his performance this year, IMHO.

Johnny Football without question.

Don't think they will give it to a TF so probably Manti Te'o

It has to be A.J. McCarron, without a doubt.  He's the unquestioned leader of the by god best team in the nation, coached by Nick Saban, for chrissakes!

Check Johnny Football's shit against ranked opponents. 2 TDs, 3 INTs, 3 Rush TDs.

Pop fizzle

If Colin Klein can splatter Texas, he'll get the lifetime achievement vote.

Manziel, hands down.  The scary part?  The little bastard is only a freshman.  He's just getting warmed up.

I don't think he's needs to warm up. He has every SEC school trying to figure out how to stop him.

Player development, hope the next coach we have looks into it.

This.  I have had little respect for the trophy since Peyton got fucked out of it but Manziel is the best player in college this year.

I agree with Peyton getting fucked, but the 4 INTs he threw against us didn't help.

Didn't hurt either.
