Would you like him at Auburn?

Not hearing anything.  Just curious.

As OC? Yes. As HC? I'd put him somewhere inbetween Malzahn and Taggert.

I doubt he wants to be an OC.  Also, it looks like he's spent all of his career in California, so I wouldn't bet on him coming to the South.

Yes, but we'd have to be uber patient while he installed his system.

The straw polls I have seen indicate Petrino has a 5-7 %  lead over Malzahn.
Jimbo and Strong are trailing significantly followed by other which is making a nice push...

other of course being the dynasty of:

Jeff Fisher
Les Snead and wife Kara Henderson Snead (permanent queen)

There was a rumor running rampant on Gore's wonderful invention a month or so ago that a coach had already agreed to terms to become our next coach, and he would be one that not only united our fanbase, but would garner immediate attention from the rest of the conference.

What happened to that guy? No one I've seen mentioned anywhere comes close to filling that description.

That quatrain was posted courtesy of AUownsU. Unsure of it's origin.

Pains me to admit this, but I heard finebaum say a major name in college football is interested in the auburn job but asked for total control of the program like Saban has and our AD said no.

I got to wonder what fucking asshole is a reliable Auburn source that actually keeps Finefuck informed on Auburn goings on.

An agent would be his only source in this matter IMO.

Agreed, but usually an agent would want Finebaum to actually float the name out there to at least get a better contract with the current school.

It was when J Tate was talking about the chance of Fisher landing the job. Jeff Fisher that is. Tate not to long ago said Auburn wasn't turned away when they approached him
