What would our emotions be?
Since Pat Dye became the coach at Auburn, every coach has produced a competitive team in their fourth season:
1984 Pat Dye 9-4
1996 Terry Bowden 8-4
2002 Tommy Tuberville 9-4
Four losses may not be a great season, but each of those three seasons including many good wins and tough losses. Every game had a chance to be competitive. Excitement for Auburn football was high.
This year's Iron Bowl should be one of the most hyped Iron Bowls in the game's history.
Alabama must win to get to Atlanta, and they actually need a quality win to stay alive in the national championship hunt.
LSU and Texas A&M both need Auburn to win this game to get to Atlanta. They should be rooting for us.
In Gene Chizik's fourth year, we should be fielding an experienced, competitive team.
We should be glued to the internet and TV to see any kind of discussion regarding this game. We should be making plans to have a huge party. We should be purchasing toilet paper in bulk for the possible afterparty if Auburn wins in Tuscaloosa. We should be talking trash on the radio, and we should be striking fear into every self-entitled Bama fan.
We should be flying Auburn flags from our SUVs, buying extra bumper stickers for our cars, and custom plates for our trucks.
We should be scrounging loose change from the couch to help pay for the exorbitant ticket prices to the game in Tuscaloosa.
We should be 8-3 or 7-4 at the least. We should be excited. We should be readying our pens for the history books. We should be contemplating the magnitude of winning this game.
Instead, we're depressed.

This year is gonna make 2008 look like a close game. They smell blood, we are not a quality opponent, therefore you have to run up the score on weaker ones. I don't know what the score of the most lopsided game in the history of AU vs UAT but this one should break it.
I don't why anyone would go to this game, to watch an ass whoppin and then to have to listen to the turds in the stands and on the way out. (Of course most of them won't leave by halftime)
We are Allotted 10,000? I wonder how much we sold, how many show up? My guess around 2 or 3 thousand?

December 4, 1948 Alabama 55 Auburn 0
I imagine we can top that this year.

By 1/2 time.
My greatest fear is that no changes will be made, which will force me to quit coming back for games.
Hell we were gonna come back for A-day but I have put that on hold.

At least during Tubs last season there was a glimmer of hope, a hey we have beaten these guys six years in a row we can make it seven. No conceding.
This year...it's over before its begun.

A forfit? Would that not be only 7-0 loss. Looks better that 63-0

I think maybe...not. I'm thinking more along the lines of the UGA game Saturday. Oh, that was bad enough and losing 40-0 to Bammer would be just as depressing as 60 zip. Doesn't matter. Just keep in mind that most believe AJ McBackSpasm got hurt because Lord Saybinz left him in too long against MSU. Even PF has been consistent ripping him for that. More importantly, they have UGA in Atlanta one week after and I doubt very seriously he'll have his starters in much of the second half to try and bust 70. Richt called his dawgs off and we still hit the red zone a grand total of hell no.
Don't get me wrong. It's still going to be an epic beatdown because we've long since stopped putting up any semblence of a fight. 6 drives...6 scores...starters pulled.

I had the opportunity to buy two Iron Bowl tickets yesterday. I never thought I'd live to see the day I'd pass that up but I'll be damned before I load up and drive a few hours to watch something I love get raped in front of 100,000+ rednecks.
Thanks Gene.

If this team comes out and plays the way they did against LSU, then we win this one. I'm taking AU and the points. The odds are going to be a no brainer too. AU +35.

Problem is, overall, Bama's defense is better than UGA's and we never even sniffed the red zone. I think I heard today that Onterio McProne has a grand total of 3 carries in the last 2 games. Is that right? Wallace is doing better but he's locked in on Blake 90% of the time and that doesn't bode well against this D. On the flip side, against TA&M and UGA, our D has given up how many drives to start those games. Like 6 or 7 against A&M without a punt and how many against Jawja? 5? I think 35 is probably about right.

That's they last time they played. They quit since then, There is no way on gods green earth we win this.
