...the creed or Auburn man the next time BMFP's name is brought up, I'm gonna tape the creed to the end of my shoe and cram it up their ass.
If you wanna argue wether he is the best coach available thats fine. However, if you wanna climb upon that moral high horse and begin to shout out "morals and it will divide the fanbase," all I can say is :fu: :fu: :fu:
While I'm not condoning BMFP past, lets be fudgeing real here. There is 3 issues AU fans have a beef with.
#1 and the least of which is the way he left the Falcons. However, people are quick to dismiss that his All-Pro QB at the time was being shipped off to the pen before he even got to coach him one down. And there is also the fact that BMFP is a college coach and there have been many successful CFB coaches that went to the NFL a year or 2 and decided it was not for them.
#2. The affair and lying about it. No excuse here. HE WAS WRONG. ABSOLUTELY fudgeING WRONG IN HIS ACTIONS. However, again lets be real. Is BMFP the first man in a wealthy powerful postition to have an affair? Its not even a question. I would even go as far as to say that anyone reading this knows of someone close to them that has done the same. Whether it be your father, brother, a friend, or even yourself the point is we all have many vices and who the hell am I to judge you for yours? And as far as I know Mrs. Petrino, the person he affected more than any with his mistake, has decided to stay with him. Now if she can forgive him why the hell are so many Auburn fans (who claim to be Christian) so unwilling to forgive. It isn't like this happened on AU's watch and I'd be willing to bet that BMFP will be more of a choir boy now than ever after what has happened.
#3. Jetgate. This is the most ridiculous of all beefs, imo. What BMFP guilty of here? Wanting to be at Auburn as quick as possible? I also here the argument that he will just spurn Auburn like he did UL and the Falcons. But I got ask, who the hell do you think he is gonna spurn us for? Phillip Marshall a few weeks ago was asked, who would Petrino choose if he had the option of AU or UT. Marshall said without a doubt it would be AU and AU has been Petrino's "dream job" for a while now. It should also be noted that in his contract with the piggies Petrino buyout had clauses not just for another school, not for just another SEC school, it had stipualtions for an SEC WEST SCHOOL. Hell even the Piggies' PTB knew where BMFP wanted to be. If hired, he wouldn't be leaving to coach another school. Book it.
Now that we have hopefully hashed a few of the beefs, I truely believe this next hire will be possibly the biggest of my lifetime and it don't have shoot to do with the midget across the state. Its the fact that the SEC as a whole is a fudgeing monster right now with no end in site. And thats why we must pull the trigger right now and hire BMFP. He is the best available candidate and has 0 buyout which helps tremendously considering how much Auburn is about to have to pay the current staff.
From what I read on the net, half the Auburn Family would be in favor of hiring BMFP. The other half who are not in favor throw out names like Peterson, Patterson, Strong, or the usual suspects of ex-NFL coaches. Just so we are clear forget the Cowhers, Dungys, and any of the other NFL coaches that have retired after winning the SB. Their ass ain't coming back. You are fudgeing delusional. As for Patterson and Peterson, both coaches have finally landed their schools on BCS conferences, and with Patterson he is in a conference that can reach the title game if he can win it. Both coaches are in a position to have their names placed on the stadium they coach in, if they stay. And I for one don't see either one of them sprinting to the SEC to jump in this shark tank unless we offer a ton of cash. Which gonna be hard these days after we pay this staffs ridiculous buyouts and pay the new coaches buyout to his school. So that leaves BMFP, Strong, and people like Willie Taggert and Sonny Dikes. If we are being real, is there even a question as what to do?
My time is up. I thank you for yours.

Like I said the SEC is a fucking monster right now and we are about to finish this season along side UK and Mizzou in terms of suckage. I mean shit Vandy (playing as shitty as the can) and the Mississippi schools have have blew by us. I know we don't wont to see Auburn end up like UT after their title and at 1 and fucking 7 we are well on our way.
We have a chance to get this shit turned around QUICKLY. Hell Tubbs reached the SECC 2 years after the '98 team rolled up 3 wins. And this team is supposedly loaded with talent. However, I just have a fear that a certain creed thumping part of the fanbase is gonna fuck it up for all of us. This ones a biggie guys. We better not fuck it up this time and end up with the likes of a Willie Taggert.

This is happening somewhat. Right now.

Hey, how about Willie Taggart as the next HC. He's a Offensive coach, he's coached a couple bigtime players when he was the RB Coach at Stanford. He was part of a National Championship team at Western Kentucky as the Co-OC, he has taken WKU to new heights as the HC, he's a young black guy and...he fits the AU Creed and he'd be a good one.

Bill King this morning was all over Chizik...said he has to be gone. Said how any fan could put up with that debacle on Saturday was beyond him. King said he listened to Chizik's speech at the end of the game and couldn't believe the complacency.
I know we have all discussed these things ad nausea. (Bill King is one of the few sports dudes who I like, so to hear it from him as an outsider) Well I didn't need any more icing cause I was out after Arkansas but just WOW.
Funny thing after King went through his breakdown...first name he mentioned was Petrino. Which if you listen to his sports show was a big deal, cause he HATES Petrino. King said even though he doesn't like the guy you know that he is a damn good coach and could be what Auburn is needing.
I still want Strong, but I expected him to be one of the ones bad mouthing us if we had hired Petrino, thought it was interesting.

Was listening to the radio on the drive back to St Louis, and heard this: 21 months ago, Auburn was 3 points better than Oregon. They proved it on the field. How bad would the score be if they played this weekend? 50 points? 60?

I believe they hung 70 on Colorado this last weekend if that tells you anything.

I hate to even think about that. I fear that Saban will hang 70 on this group.

Bad thing is, he won't have to try. It'll just happen.

Did ANY of you EVER attend AU? If so, YOU NEED TO REMEMBER THE CREED!
I challenge anyone's Auburnhood if they are not living the CREED!
LIVE THE CREED!

They may not even have to throw the ball...

...
The only concern I have with BMFP is that he has shown a lack of integrity and the ability to hide said lacking...just don't want that rubbing off on recruiting (not lack of integrity that would be fine, just want him to do a better job of covering up).

I am firmly on the "Team fire errbody and hire Petrino or Strong" bus.
I don't want a "Willie Taggert" but I do think Taggert is going to be a good one someday. We can't afford to have someone that will be going through OJT while this gets straightened out.

Since the NC, Chiz is 9-12. Of the 12 losses, 7 have been by 21 or more points. More than half, blowouts.
