Title: Putcher Predictions Here
Post by: Snaggletiger on October 25, 2012, 01:16:08 PM
AU/A&M
Unwashed/Dawgs

aTm: 30
Auburn: 20

I have a feeling our DB's are going to keep us in the game for a while with some picks.  Holsey seems to get better and better every game. It's been some time since we've seen tight coverage on receivers and Holsey always seems to be right there.  Hope Johnny Jones improves right along with him now that he's getting more and more PT.  I only said 20 for us because I think the D may get a score for us.  But, in the end, keeping it respectable is about all I see out of this one.

Bammies: 33
Starkvegas Puppies: 24

The biggest surprise there is MSU getting 24.  I watched a good bit of their game last night against MTSU on replay.  Yeah, I know it's Middle Tennessee but I gotta' admit, Russell looked damn good.  Smooth and calm in the pocket.  I think they said the RB leads the league in all purpose yards and their receivers are all upper classmen.  I believe MSU is a little better than people think, even for an undefeated team.  Not good enough to beat Bama, but good enough to make it interesting.

Johnny foosball will have a field day against the Auburn defense, making him the SEC Offensive Player of the week.  The game will be much worse than the score though, as Auburn's freshmen CB's will get a couple of picks deep in their own territory, and Manfred Mann takes a knee at the Auburn 3 to end the game.

Charger squad 41
$180K's 14

The game will be close in the first half, as the defenses will rule.  Something like 17-14 most likely going into halftime.  Then, the puppies will cough the ball up a few times and Coooooooper catches 3 TD passes in the second half.

+ 12 on the team names. One thing to consider, though.  MSU's corners are the best in the league.  Bad ass.  Don't know if their interior line can hold up against the run but I think their corners can take McTattoo out of any further Highsmen talk.

They better be good corners, because the only way I think they win is to put them on an island one on one and stack the box.  I still think the key to beating bama is making McMuffin beat you with his arm...which he can do....but I think its the best chance.

You are right.  That's why I think they hang with them for a half.  I just don't see the dawggie offense as much of a threat to score on the best defense since the 1992 2009 2011 teabagger D.  I think they make mistakes in the second half that cost them dearly.

Buzz, thanks so much for the avatar.  You know how long snappers are near and dear to my heart.  Doing that just means so much to me. No...really...doing that would mean so much to me.

Will Auburn break the 300 yard mark in total offense?  So far:

Climpsum: 374
MSU: 216
ULM: 418 (Those were the days)
LSU: 183
Ark: 321
OM: 213
Vandy: 212

aTm gives up 389 per game.  Do we bust out Saturday?  Damn, this is sad.

Tight game for a half, then all hell breaks loose against our tired defense.

I got a bad feeling, I don't know why but something tells me that Auburn pulls this one out. Maybe its the players rally around Chizik after his momma passed, I don't know but I see....

Auburn: 27
aTm: 24

Hopefully, I'm wrong but as bad of a cluster fudge this season has been, the only way it could get worse is if this staff won a game or 2 they shouldn't and the PTB at Auburn fudge it up and decide to keep them around 1 more year.

Oh wait, I see where Moseley has been named the starter again. Nevermind..

I think we can keep it within two touchdowns but the PTB would probably be impressed with a night game at JH over a morning kickoff. Jacobs can raise money with the best of 'em and Auburn followers are very generous even with the current state of the football program. There are also others outside of the power circle that want to tow the company line so that they can keep their place at the banquet, even if it's at the kiddie table.

Remember that one play were Holland tackled Devante Sigler (because DT Sigler was literally thrown into him), then he got up and put his hand on the RB that was already tackled tripped over the other DT that was laying on the ground? That's how you tackle properly.
