Title: Johnny Manziel, QB, aTm
Post by: JR4AU on September 29, 2012, 12:45:00 PM
Is going to beat the brakes off of the hogs today.  He's a RS Fr.  6-1, 200, 3 * Dual Threat QB, playing under a NEW OC/HC.  Playing in an offense that "won't work in the SEC" too.  Yeah, I know aTm hasn't played anybody, but look at his numbers versus nobody's compared to Fraziers.  Even vs FL, in a loss, he had a good game.

His Stats: http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/gamelog/_/id/517475/johnny-manziel

Is he a great QB?  Yet to be seen, but he's light years ahead of our Soph 4 Star Dual Threat QB playing in a new system.   And he plays with extreme confidence, and at full speed.

Half way through the 1st Q, he is 7 of 8 for 48yds, TD, 3 Rush for 63 yds.

And we have this guy:

Yep, Frazier is victimizing the Auburn faithful and ruining the program. Send him packing!

Impossible. Football players can't be good until at least halfway through their junior year. And that's only if they're a 5 star. It's also impossible to perform well in the first year of a new system. Just ask Prowler.

This kid is going to be a fucking beast next season. He can run very well, and seems pretty accurate. Just made a damn nice throw while rolling to his left in a full sprint and threw across his body for what was about an inch away from being a touchdown. I would almost go as far as saying that he's outshining Wilson with his skillz.

aTm with over 300yds of offense in the first half so far.  Manziel with his 2nd TD pass of the game, and if he continues this pace will rush for 150+ and throw for nearly 400 and 4 TDs.

I keep hearing the hype about him, and while Arky's defense isn't exactly stout, kid looks damn good. No bullshit, looks like a senior out there just balling.

Fuck me, why did I pick Arkansas in BftC? At least it was only 2 points. I can't wait to see John L's halftime interview.

And another one....

Brett Hundley, RS Fr., 6-3 223, 4*, playing in his first season in Noel Mazzone's new offense.  UCLA is 3-1 with a win over Nebraska.

Hundley: Passing: 96/145 66.2% 1199yds 8.3avg TD 3Int 152.0Rtg

Rushing: 38/151 2 TDs

As I wrote that, Manziel threw an 80yd TD pass.  aTm 27  Hogs 10.  2:31 left in half.

Thing is, the kid made some mistakes early, and got lucky he didn't have to pay for them, but he comes right back out and goes at it again, and learns.  Getting better as the game goes on.

Arkansas is terrible, there is no way that even with Petrino they would have been as good as the talking heads were giving them credit for.  If we don't whip that pig ass and Frazier doesn't come out of his shell in that game....I'm gonna go ape shit crazy.

And really, it's fundamentals. Lots of dropped balls, poor tackling, poor ball security once somebody gets the ball (RBs and WRs). And Wilson just threw an easy pick. Wow.

If we lose to them @ home when that clock hits zero they should annouce over the loud speaker that CGC has been fired and replaced with ( Screen name) Prowler.

Yea its raining here in Dallas ( yes we need it) and I am stuck at home.

Knile Daves just got hit from behind while dancing around, fumbled, Aggies scoop it up and run it in for a TD. 44-10 aTm halfway through the 3rd.

One more TD and WVU will be tied with AU's total points.

Gonna hear it, I know I will.  "Frazier is a 'spread QB' recruited to play in Malzahn's offense".   :puke:

80% of the QBs coming out of HS play in some sort of spread, about 19% play in some sort of antiquated offense like Wing T, power T, or some sort of option, and maybe 1% play in something resembling "pro style".  Bottom line is it's about making reads, and making proper decisions, whether you're reading option, or passing game.   After that it's executing on the decision you've made.   Frazier is not getting that done.  Not even close. And I'm getting pissed at seeing these other Fr. QBs executing brand new schemes to them, and other QBs like whatthefuckstheirnames at Florida (also in a new scheme) and TN, making noticeable improvements since last season.   But I'm supposed to be patient?  Fuck that noise!

The aggies just go up 51-10 on a Manziel scramble.  I suspect that will end his day.

Numbers for the 3* RS Fr. playing in a new scheme?  Passing: 29/38 453yds   3TD, Rushing: 14/104 1TD

Never said that it was impossible, fucking inbred retard. You and anyone else reading this should realize that some QBs start off on fire, some don't. Some take a little more time to develop than others. I don't fucking care if you go back and list every QB's stats from their Freshman and Sophomore seasons. I'm done with trying to educate you dumbasses.

And some never make it.  Just can't play.  And it's obvious to most.  They show zero signs of being able to play despite ample opportunity and patience.   For those types of QBs, there are also the excuse makers that refuse to see what is.

As far back as I can remember, Auburn fans have bitched about their QB. I even heard some DAs (not refering to you) talk about how Cam ran to much and might get injured while here. Has Kiehl looked shitty at times? Without a doubt. However, he has also showed glimpses of greatness. Examples would be going 8-11 in the 1st half against LSU with 2 of the 3 incompletions being drops. Another would be that 25 yard throw on a rope to Blake in the 3 quater of that game. I'm certainly no QB guru but considering Fraizer is reading defenses for the 1st time in his life and don't have predetermined throws before the play is ran, there is no suprise that he is gonna struggle. However, make no mistake Fraizer will leave Auburn with more hardware than this Manziel will at aTm. And at some point in time before he leaves you as well as many others will be slobbin his knob talking about how came along way and you always knew he could do it.
