So, with the super suckage of AU football this season, I have taken more to the NFL this year. Maybe, the reason is to see some real football after waiting all off-season and being totally let down. What I have noticed is the 49er's are pretty damn good with a defense that is naaaasty. It seems they have picked
up where they left off from last, like the Texans. Houston is also bad ass and look to be heavy weight
contenders this year fo sho.

Watched half of Cam's game last night. Was unhappy with that.
Going back to baseball for a while. Maybe the Braves can break my heart again.

The Braves are a sure thing.
The Texans have to handle a pissed off Manning this weekend. Right now, brother Eli is the hottest thing going. He's had 5 straight unbelievable quarters.
On another note, I've never seen the number of QB's to take over a starting spot right off the bat out of college as we've seen the last 2-3 years. There's no learning curve or getting used to the speed of the game. Rookies are taking over from game one.

Me too. That was a horrible game for Cam and the Panthers as a whole. Sitting here working with ESPN
on in the background. In doing so I heard an x-player talking about how Cam was pouting at the post game
interview. To be honest, he kind of was.

Eli is bad ass, no lie. Dude has some unbelievable accuracy. I can tell you his elder will be sore after the
Texans hammer his ass this weekend. That D ain't no bullshit.
I'm surprised to see how RGIII has done so well, and lets not forget he is with the Redskins. If I heard
correct, he is leading the league in pass completion.
How does GF feel about their new QB?
-

I heard John Madden jizzing all over Griffin the other day. "Never been a quarterback in this league with the total combination of passing and running that Griffin gives the Redskins. There have been some scrambling quarterbacks like Tarkenton and Cunningham and even Steve Young. Then you get to players like Vick who can't throw that well but can run. Or McNabb who can do a little of both. But this kid is the first player to ever have that total package of running and throwing.... skeet, skeet, skeet, spuzz..."
I don't get that. Cam never existed? He can't run and throw? Well. Okay then.
-

Did you miss last night's game?
He could not throw. He could not run.
It looked like he wanted to be somewhere else. D. Anderson came in and started hitting the routes that Cam had missed all night. Anderson.....
Anyway. Cam was last year's flavor. RGIII is this year's.
-
Don't know who they are playing but I hope the cowboys get drilled again this weekend.

Who is D. Anderson? A kicker?
-
I agree with the OP. I have started getting into the NFL games this year because I am so let down on Saturdays. I wish the NFL and Officials Association would get their shit worked out because the replacement refs suck donkey cock. I was watching the Monday night game and as soon as the coaches figured out that they were struggling, they attacked them like they were little league refs.

Yes they did which has caused the league to issue warnings to coaches. Fox and Del Rio may get their
pockets pinched a little for that.
-
Texans are killing the Broncos right now. I thought this would be somewhat closer. Texans lead 21-5.

P. Manning got his ass handed to him last Mon. night. It happens to the best of them in the league.

Watching Matt Schaub(sp?) reminds me of Manning a good bit. Manning is still a great QB. You can also tell
from watching the Broncos games that many players in the NFL has a lot of respect for him.
-
I would also like to point out that the Saints lost again today! 0-3 to start the season.
-

Another rough weekend for Chizad.
-
Not sure if anyone is watching but this Texans/Broncos game has turned into a goodn. Broncos
pushing hard for a Manning comeback.

But alas, no. Texans win.
-
San Francisco got four timeouts in the fourth quarter of their game.
-
Cam Newton hates losing like a motherfucker. He simply cannot stand it. It tears at his soul.
He's got to get better at dealing with it, though.
-
Damn, Seahawks have sacked Aaron Rodgers 8 times already in the first half with 2:17 left. Seahawks up
7-0. Where the hell did this team come from. They remind me of Oregon with their fluorescent shit.
-
Adding Ced Benson to the backfield has diversified the Packers options by the element of a power run game. Impressive first drive of second half.
-
Mike Tirico just said "short armed it" and I totally laughed out loud...
Tee hee hee...
Rodgers is getting in sync now. However, the record for most sakcs in a game is 12 and like GH said, the Seahawks got 8 in the first half. Damn.
Also? Seattle's unis look HORRID. Since when are they on the Phil Knight Fashion Plan? They look like the bastard children of the Oregon Ducks and the St Louis Rams.
-

The St. Oregon Dams?
-
Seahawks have done less than nothing with ball in second half...
...until now
-
woot!
-
Packers just got ROBBED. That was not only a full on push off by the Seahawk receiver Tate that did not get called, it was also an interception by Jennings of the Packers. Jennings clearly had the ball on his chest.
Boy, the refs fucked that one UP. Gruden is pissed on the Packer's behalf.
Not to mention that the extra point HAS to be kicked. Refs are useless.
-
a Starbucks ...the replacement refs will be out tomorrow a.m.
-
Even the commentator official says they fucked it up. And now they are kicking a useless extra point without refs or a defense.
SO FUCKING LAME.
Man - Gruden is PISSED.
That was not a simultaneous catch. The League Office will hear from the Packers on this one. This will end the lockout - this SUCKED.
-
Not to mention that Pete Carroll is STILL a total douchebag.
-
For the love of GOD, please settle this goddamn strike. Get these useless moronic motherfuckers off the damn field. Stupidity at its worst.
-
gruden is sexy.
-
gruden is sexy.
Yes. Yes he is... I have ALWAYS been a Chuckie fan.
-
McCarthy and Rodgers both just gave the most terse, pissed off post game interviews EVAH. And I do not blame them one bit.
Yeah, they should not have been in that position, but the refs blew that one HARD. I bet Ed Hochuli is foaming at the mouth right now...
-
Golden Tate just looked like a total jackass during his interview. Wow.
-
After the this weekend I thought for sure this ref strike would be resolved. Lots of horrible mistakes. Now,
well this almost solidifies the real refs will be back very soon. I'm not a Packers fan but damn, they got
robbed BIG time! Its almost unbelievable how bad the refs screwed that up.
-
I don't like the Packers and anytime they lose a game I smile a little deep down in my cold black heart, but I hate to see a team get screwed over that bad. They need to fix this and fix it quick. People are going to stop watching if they don't.
-

I was just listening to Tim Brando talking about this and he had the opposite take. People who don't normally watch are tuning in to watch the train wreck. He said his wife stayed up and watched it and a guy I talked to this morning said the same thing. Said his wife doesn't care anything about the NFL but sat there hollering at the TV going, "That's just wrong".
Having said that, the only way the NFL is going to get this fixed is if people really do stop watching. Don't know if that will happen or not. I think if you're a true fan of the Giants or Bears or Dolphins....you're going to watch your team, bad refs or not.
-
Well, one good thing is that they are letting the guys play more wide open football. The players know they can get away with a little, so they are getting after it.
-

even if they suck.
-
even if they suck.
They do.
-
even if they suck.
Even if they win in OT by a Jets missed field goa........oh wait, never mind.
-
Has anything happened with the NFL or refs or something? Something about Monday night? I caught the tail end of the report this morning on ESPN and then nothing else was ever said about it......

nothing you haven't heard before. the cowboys stank and tony is a cock sucker.

How are the Oilers doing this year?
-
How are the Oilers doing this year?
Bum Phillips and that crazy new defensive scheme will Keep most games close.
-
How are the Oilers doing this year?
yeah...we've been struggling with the supplier. hopefully, we'll get more inventory soon...i'll put in an extra with some exotic oils for that extra tingling sensation.

Reports are the League/Owners/Refs have some sort of deal worked out. No time table still on when
the regular NFL refs will be back on the field though but they do say it should be very soon.
Also, have you ever seen a replacement weather man?

-
Until now. Eagles score the TD.
-
Notable games 10/14:

Texans = bandwagon.
-
Texans = bandwagon.
Possibly for many outside of Houston but I've watched them and they look real good. Its like watching
shitty football on Saturday and then watching a well oiled machine on Sunday.

Bite me. :)

You should tune in if for no other reason than to watch JJ Watt. He is a beast. Absolutely freaking unreal. He makes me excited... um... about football. Yeah.
-
Bite me. :)
Would love to!

Losing Brian Cushing I think will hurt the intensity of the Texans D. I'm torn between watching the season
debut of the Walking Dead Season 3 and this game. I can't stand the Packers so I would really love
to see them get railroaded by the Texans.
-
The Giants are manhandling the 49ers right now 23-3.

Yeah I was expecting more of a game. I might go the route of TWD like you or an episode of Sherlock on Netflix. Incidently you can see the first four seasons of Breaking Bad there.
-
Damn TW, the Texans are not playing up to par tonight. Man do I wish Rodgers would get his ass
handed to him.
-
Damn Texans are shooting themselves in the foot bigtime. Rodgers is carving them up. I do however love that the Texans know how to fn tackle.

Holy shit, the Texans are literally self destructing. The Texans just GAVE the Packers that TD with stupid STUPID penalties. Dammit.
Yall get off our bandwagon. You're screwing up our karma...
-
Texans are being over aggressive and its killn them.
