Always. Too many people try to write it off as product of American imperialism (our own fault). We were attacked because of our freedom. Not because we were spreading evil. Remember that there are those among us still that wish for our demise. Be vigilant and keep watch and live life to the fullest.

Summer before last, we took our first trip to NY.  Since it was the first time, we had to do all the standard tourist things, including the Twin Towers site.  Couldn't see much there other than a lot of construction going on.  However, there is a church right at the perimeter of the damaged buildings and was the only building in that area not to get a scratch.  It was set up as a command post and to treat wounded.  It's now become the memorial for 9-11 and has all types of memorabilia, firefighter suits, names of the dead etc.  Really incredible place and when you leave, you notice no one is really saying anything.  Just a real humbling experience and really brings it home.

I remember watching and like everybody else getting pissed and I had only retired out of the Army a little over 6 years and thought about going back in. Then thought better as I did not want to get laughed at down at the Processing Center.

To New York and the American Heros.   :bar: :bar: :bar:
