Title: The Roof is on fire
Post by: Kaos on September 01, 2012, 12:29:34 PM
Listening to Penn State-Ohio on satellite out of a sense of morbid curiosity.

The Roof-led Lions stopped Ohio on third and one on the first series. Can't remember the last Roof-helmed third down stop. What was funny was the reaction of the PSU radio guys.

"STOPPED FOR A LOSS! JUST BURIED IN THE BACKFIELD. THE PENN STATE DEFENSE IS JUST AS GOOD AS WE'VE SEEN FOR THE LAST 50 YEARS!!!"

So one stop on the first series of the year against Ohio and Teddy Roof is a regular Sandusky.

Same Old Shit, Roof's D has given up 355 yards, no turnovers and trail by 3 in the 3rd quarter.  Yep, same ole Teddy.  Glad he's gone, thank GOD for small favors.

Ohio at this point in the 4th quarter is 26-36 for 266 yards and a 7.4 average.  No interceptions.  1 touchdown

Sounds about right.  Give Penn State a few more weeks under Roof, and their opponents will be treating their defense like...well...nevermind.

And the secondary doesn't look back for the ball.

Another Bobcat TD! Ohio goes up 24-14 with 2:55 left in the game.

Way to go Chiz best decision ever only 2 years too late.

About 7 minutes left in the game State punts and has them backed up to the 12.  Numerous third and whatever's completed.  At that point State down 3 all you have to do is force a punt and give the offense a chance to win (probably wouldn't have happened as the O looks like shit too).  But you let a shit team drive 90 yards for a TD in your house.

So glad that piece of shit is gone.

Ballgame! The look of dejection in the stands is a familiar one. They gave up right at 500 yards of offense to Ohio.

The funny thing is that the crowd chanted "We are Penn State" as the last 5 seconds ticked off the clock.

Yes, yes they are.  The same irrelevant team they have been for oh the last 20-25 years.  I hope ESPN moves on now after today.  I'm tired oh hearing about those fucks.  Joe Pa this Joe Pa that, who really gives a fuck?

Wonder how the announcers feel about that 95-yard drive Ohio just stuck up that nittany ass
