Do I really have to say...tl;dr?
I am just trying to educate the masses.
This guy goes a long way to try and prove soemthing that really doesn't mean squat. In the past 6 years...well, except last year...the SEC has been able to say, "The dust has settled, now put the best you've got up against us for all the marbles." And this conference has kicked ass each and every time. Is that the measure of who has the best conference in the land? To some it is. But if you think about it realistically, the only way to truly tell is to do what some conferences do in basketball. The ACC/Big 10 Challenge. I think the SEC started doing that this past year with the Big East.
But in foosballz, I've never really thought there was that wide a gap in the talent level between major conferences. If Auburn played Stanford on a nuetral site, would AU bitch slap the Cardinal by 25? Truth is, I'd be happy with a 2 point win. Would Georgia take Texas to the woodshed? Don't know. They couldn't get it done against Meatchicken State. Would the SEC win more games than it's opponents in head to head matches with other conferences? I'd like to think so. But it wouldn't be by some kick ass margin.
No bowl games are played in Ohio.
I have a great fucking idea, let's load up the family after Christmas, and drive through snow and ice to get to Ohio, where we can freeze our fucking ass off, so we can watch our team play at the Cleveland Browns Stadium, located on the lovely shores of Lake Erie and fight some wonderful lake effect snow.
I do agree that it was ridiculous that Oregon dropped ten spots for losing to LSU on a neutral field while the Turds only dropped two for getting beaten at home.
Numbers schmumbers. We win when it matters most. And I haven't even seen the guy that wrote this and I can kick his ass too.Whatever you say cuddles!

A guy from SBNation fisked this article and completely OBLITERATED this moron's entire premise. Facts. Never let them get in the way of a story, dipshoot.Nice retort article. The point that GH2001 brought up was in here and I see it as glaring re: bowl matchups "lower-tier SEC teams playing upper tier teams from other conferences". The guy is going about marketing a book the right way though. Piss people off and they'll buy it. Not me. I quit reading when we I got cable.
Not in the mood for the tl;dr crowd, so click if you are interested...
