Title: Five Finebaum minutes
Post by: Kaos on July 06, 2012, 04:18:17 PM
Had to hear about five minutes of his show three days this week.

I've decided that the reason he gets the national credibility he does is because his show panders to the stereotypes the rest of the country have toward the South. I deal with it every day.  What people hear on his show is exactly how much of the rest of the country assumes we all are.

This week all Ive heard are lengthy rants between Jim and Legend and I man and legend. He's so proud of them be repeats them in all their glory.

The calls are little more than two retarded dogs standing on opposite sides of a fence and barking their heads off at each other.  Two grown men screaming and you can't even make out words. Then a flurry of single digit IQ fucks call to discuss the barking dogs.

You can add up the IQ of every single Bama caller and never reach triple digits.

You could rub two wet rocks together and generate a bigger spark than legend has between his crimson convict ears.

Paul isnt laughing with these people.  He has nothing but disdain for them and for the South in general.  He doesn't consider himself one of us and he's using these ignorant bastards to ridicule the south and its people.

Yep, and the saddest part is they're too ignorant to realize they're being paraded around the nation as fools. These dim bulbs (including that decaying pile of dog shit named Shane - may he roast in hell) have done more harm to the image of this hick assed state than was ever done by Bull Connor or the Birmingham Fire Department.

Yep.  And he's on ESPN because he pretends to be above it.  He's one of "them" poking fun at the idiots around here.

I've seen him in person on several occasions.  There's no doubt he thinks he's a better class of human being than anybody in this state.

^this^

If I do happen to hear a second of it at work, I tune him and his retarded callers out. If I hear I Man, Legend, the Jimmys or any other caller it makes me want to move out of Alabama for good and never come back. I had been thinking of moving to Colorado Springs since my last two trips out there to Waldo Canyon, about 6 years ago, but now I'm glad that I never made the move.

It has been since football season ended for me, and I'm not going back either.

Like K, I believe his intent is largely to give bammers (and Alabamians) a forum to make fools of themselves, and he encourages it for the reasons stated.
