Post by: Token on June 14, 2012, 04:01:34 PM: More scoring that I anticipated, but a lot of bogeys also. Michael Thompson leading at 4 under with an opening round 66. Tiger, David Toms, and Aaron Watkins tied for second with 1 under. I'll be surprised if the winner of this round is more than 4 under.

Exactamundo. He couldn't hit it straight to save his life coming down the stretch. Neither could McDowell. All Simpson had to do was sit back and watch the choke job on the monitor.

I read where in his last round he only hit 4 fairways. That said, the putt was the least of his worries. He was lucky he even had a chance at the end.
