Title: Bama Jam 2012
Post by: Snaggletiger on May 11, 2012, 12:13:38 PM
Just a heads up for concert goers.  Bama Jam has quickly become a huge music festival.  It's an outdoor venue outside of Enterprise, AL which is about 20 miles from Dothan.  It will be June 14-16 and will have 53 artists over a 3 day period.  It's normally got more of a country theme to it but they've started expanding to include a better variety.

There's a good mix of old and new artists which include:

Tim McGraw
Eric Church
Willie Nelson
Darryl Worley
Outlaws
Badfinger
Stryper
Ronnie Milsap
Alan Jackson
Zac Brown Band
Government Mule
Jamey Johnson
Sheryl Crow
Kid Rock

The headliners for day 1 are Tim McGraw, Eric Church and Willie Nelson
Day 2 is Alan Jackson and Zac Brown Band and day 3 will finish it off with Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock closing it down.

Holy.

I am the coach. I'm the coach and I'm the point guard, I'm the two forwards, the center, and I'm the other guard. I'm the entire organization.

Wes, I just noticed your avatar more closely - for the longest time, I thought that was Gene Wilder, and could not figure out why he was in a scene from Caddyshack.

If there was a concert in my personal hell, this would be a huge part of it.  Nothing there I'd remotely want to see.  I'd rather scratch my nuts with a cheese grater than be subjected to that.

No offense, country fans.  But  :suicide:

What, you don't get excited about the chance of seeing Kid Rock?

Never really been a Kid Rock fan. I figured this would be your response. Kid Rock is a yankee, redneck wanna be.

Kid Rock headlined a couple of years ago and ripped it up.  I saw Sheryl Crow up in the Ham and she was pretty damn good.  She's worth going to see.  I'd love to check out Government Mule.  I think AUT1 is a big fan of GM.

I met Kid Rock back in 2003 in Qatar. He's pure white trash, but a hell of a cool guy. Does a lot of free concerts for our troops through the USO

Zac Brown Band
Gov't Mule
Willie Nelson
The Outlaws

That would be all I care about seeing from that line up and I have seen 3 of the 4 before.  That is if this is the same Outlaws that did "Green Grass and High Tides".   If not, then no, only 3 acts I would pay to see.

So...a bunch of rednecks, washed up has-beens, and combinations thereof...the name of the festival is fitting.
